The DC area may not be known for its rave scene, but it does have its fair share of great festivals to attend. Project Glow is an annual dance music festival that will celebrate 20 years of local dance music culture in the DC area this year with its event from April 30th to May 1st. Here is what you need to know about attending Project Glow 2022:
Project Glow Lineup & Tickets
This year the Project Glow lineup includes amazing acts like Above & Beyond, Griz, Qrion, Walker & Royce, Seven Lions and Krewella to name just a few. Tickets to the event are pretty affordable starting at just $145 for two-day GA tickets and going up to $285 for a two-day VIP pass. You can also get tickets for individual days if you would like to just do one day.
VIP tickets will get you dedicated entry to the event, access to premium viewing areas, better bathroom options and premium food options. For just $285, that seems worth it to me just to beat the crowds, get a better view and not have to use the GA bathrooms.
Getting There
Project Glow will be at the RFK festival grounds which is located just west of Capitol Hill with the Blue and Orange transit lines running close to the festival grounds. Being in DC proper, the festival will be pretty easy to get to from just about anywhere in the DC metro area. The festival does offer a ride share program which you can learn about here, and offers hotel packages for the general area.
Onsite parking is also available but requires a pre-purchased parking pass. The festival warns that parking passes won't be available onsite, so be sure to secure your parking pass if you plan on driving to and from the event every day. You can get a parking pass here.
What to Wear to Project Glow:
Project Glow offers a wide variety of dance music so there really won't be any single theme for the event like there is at trance-specific, house-specific or bass music events, for example. That being said, that means you can get creative and wear just about anything! Here are some ideas:
