Sometimes wearing all-black can be a little boring, but not like this. Think interesting textures and silhouettes that you wouldn't normally go for. This is a great time to experiment with fashion.

Hosted at the Utah State Fairpark from October 25th to 27th, Get Freaky is set to return to this iconic venue after a last-minute move there in 2023. Conveniently located in Salt Lake City, the Fairpark is easily accessible whether you’re a local or traveling from out of town. If you're flying in, Salt Lake City International Airport is just a quick ride away.
The venue change from The Great Saltair to the Fairpark means that taking an Uber or Lyft from downtown or elsewhere in the valley is no problem. You can also take Trax to the venue, making it even more convenient and affordable to get there.
Get Freaky is a Halloween festival, so plan to wear your costumes! Remember to keep it comfortable, though; you'll be dancing for hours. Layers are your friend, as Salt Lake can get chilly at night, especially in October.
Don’t forget comfy shoes, breathable outfits, and a hydration pack to stay fueled for the night. And of course, be ready to glow and shine with rave accessories like LED gloves, glitter, and face gems!

]]>As the rave scene continues to evolve, streetwear has emerged as a dominant trend, blending comfort with edgy style. This guide will help you navigate the essential pieces that will keep you looking fly while you dance the night away. From classic black to oversized silhouettes, let’s break down the must-have streetwear items that will elevate your rave outfits!
When it comes to rave fashion, black is the ultimate vibe. It’s not just versatile; it also gives off an edgy, mysterious aura that fits right into the electrifying atmosphere of a rave. Whether you're rocking a sleek black bodysuit or a baggy black hoodie, this classic color allows you to experiment with textures and layers. Plus, black clothing is perfect for showing off those vibrant accessories and neon highlights that make you stand out on the dance floor. Remember, it’s all about expressing yourself, and black is a canvas that lets your personality shine!
Afters Cropped Baby Tee Outfit
Oversized shirts are taking over the rave scene, and it’s easy to see why. Not only do they offer maximum comfort for those marathon dance sessions, but they also give off a laid-back, effortlessly cool vibe. Think about throwing on a vintage band tee or a graphic oversized shirt with some bold prints. Pair it with your favorite accessories, like a funky bucket hat or statement chains, and you’re all set for a night of fun. The best part? You can wear them with pretty much anything—just tuck in one side, and you’re ready to hit the party!
Rage Nationo Convene Unisex Outfit
Cargo pants are back and better than ever, and they’re a must-have for any rave outfit. With their numerous pockets, they’re perfect for keeping your essentials safe while you dance the night away. Opt for baggy styles in bright colors or classic camo to really make a statement. Not only are they practical, but they also add a streetwear edge to your ensemble. Whether you pair them with a crop top or an oversized shirt, cargo pants give your outfit that effortless, cool-girl vibe that’s perfect for any festival.
You can’t go wrong with classic t-shirts at a rave! They’re the ultimate wardrobe staple that can be styled in countless ways. Choose a tee featuring your favorite artist, a fun graphic, or even a cool slogan that reflects your personality. For a trendy twist, try knotting it at the waist or layering it under a slip dress for a laid-back look. Comfort is key, especially when you're jumping around all night, so opt for soft, breathable fabrics that let you move freely. No matter how you style it, a killer t-shirt will keep you looking fresh while you vibe to the beats!

The event will take place from October 24-27th in Live Oak, Florida. Tickets are almost sold out, so grab yours here and get ready for the best weekend of your life!
Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is a venue unlike any other. Located on the Suwannee River, this campground lives and breathes Florida. With spooky Spanish Moss draped from the trees like mystical curtains, and big swamp energy infused into every path, there truly isn’t a more fitting venue for a Halloween-themed festival. The grounds are magical.
Enjoy the shade within the woods or cool off from the daytime heat in the river. See if you can find the treehouse! And if you need a dose of Halloween vibes, check out the bat house at dusk. If you need to buy ice or other camping goods, the General Store has you covered.
Hulaween has multiple stages and areas to explore, so come with an open mind and be prepared for adventure. Spirit Lake is the place to be at night! There, you’ll explore out-of-this-world art installations that will blow your mind.
Bring your card or cash with you when you explore because there are amazing vendors at Hula, from delicious food to heady apparel and accessories, art, and more.
Festival camping goes a little differently here than at other festivals. Rather than being placed in a camping spot by staff, you have complete free range to find your own campsite within the grounds once you drive through the gates.
Because camping is first come, first serve, many people choose to arrive early and stake out a spot for their squad. Don’t panic, though! If you’re planning to arrive on Thursday, you will still be able to find a great spot. Just have patience, as it may take a few laps of driving around the park to situate yourself.
Pro tip: I always prefer camping in the woods because you get shade in the mornings and throughout the day, which means more time spent sleeping in or taking disco naps. Getting good rest is key to an enjoyable camping fest experience! If you think you may end up in a sunny camping spot, bring a pop-up canopy for shade.
If you purchased a car pass, you can park your car next to your tent at your campsite. I highly recommend this, although there are parking options on-site for your vehicle if you choose not to buy a car pass.
You will notice golf carts zipping around the grounds during the festival. If you’re planning to drive a golf cart at the fest, contact the park to verify that it will be permitted before you arrive. You will need proper reservations and paperwork.
Some people bring bicycles, one-wheels, or motorized bikes/skateboards to the park, but they are certainly not necessary to get around. It can be super fun to take a morning bike ride through the campsites, though.
One of the coolest things about Hulaween is that, weather permitting, you can have campfires at your campsite! We have had some very chilly Hulaweens in the past, and having firewood to build a campfire has been a lifesaver. There’s nothing better than huddling around the fire with your friends or, better yet, making s’mores at camp! I recommend bringing a fire pit and firewood if the weather allows for campfires. If a burn ban is necessary due to weather or other conditions, the park will tell you not to burn anything.
Like most camping festivals, come prepared with nutritious meals and snacks, a cooler with ice, and plenty of water to keep you hydrated. Packing a first-aid kit is always a smart idea.
Pro tip: bring your favorite craft brews to Camp Reddit if you’re interested in a craft beer exchange and their infamous bacon pancakes.
We have had Hulaweens that were blazing hot and Hulaweens that were freezing cold. The best advice I have for Hula and any camping festival is to come prepared for any climate - heat, cold, rain, or dust. The best plan is to pack outfits in layers so you can adjust your look depending on the weather. During the day, you can typically expect hot Florida sunshine. But as the sun goes down, it can get anywhere from chilly to frigid.
I keep my outfits pre-planned in sealable bags to reach into my duffel and pull out a fresh outfit, already picked out and ready to go. Make sure you keep an outfit sealed to drive home in so you have fresh clothes as you make the journey home.
Here is my basic list of camping festival clothes and must-haves:
Since Hula is over Halloween weekend, many people dress up in fun costumes. This year’s theme is Suwannee Horror Disco Show, so if that theme speaks to you, dress for it! Especially for the themed String Cheese set on Saturday night.
I typically bring a few costumes but don’t forget comfortable outfits, as well. If you’re into sustainable shopping, check out your local thrift store for costumes or better yet - ask your friends if they have any costumes you can borrow.
Explore all the Halloween costume options from savormeditation here.
Always make a stop back at camp before dinner to fuel your body with some nutritious food, load up on water, and grab anything you might need for a night of fun. The walk from the stages to the campgrounds typically isn’t too far, but if you have back-to-back sets planned, it’s best to have everything you may need on your person.
Pro tip: grab a flashlight from your campsite as the day turns to night. There are tons of tree roots along the paths in the campgrounds that are prime for tripping over, so watch out.
Throw on sleeves like these over a cropped tank top if you start to get chilly but aren’t ready to change out of your daytime fit just yet.
dark arts mesh bell sleeve ultra crop top
Chaps, like these, are a great middle ground between shorts and pants - especially if you want to show off that rave booty!
Nocturnal Nature Fishnet Chaps
iHR has some great outerwear options to keep you in style, even if the weather gets chilly.
Hulaween is a whirlwind of mind-melting music and art. It’s my all-time favorite festival because the vibes are simply unparalleled. You’ll see for yourself!
Expect nothing, but stay open to anything. Keep an open mind, be prepared, practice patience, stay hydrated, and get ready for the time of your life!

]]>Many ravers get the pre-festival anxiety, especially when heading into a big event for the first time, or in a new city, or even for a festival that isn’t new. To combat these jitters, it’s so important to start your day off with some peace and meditation.
Find a quiet spot and space and close your eyes, take deep breaths, stretch a little, and even do some quick yoga. Doing this will help relax your body and start your day off in a positive mindset, before all the fun begins.
Writing down intentions and affirmations is a great way to give yourself some goals and direction on how you want to tackle the day and the festival. Even if it means jotting down notes in your notes app on your phone, taking the time to think about what you want to achieve is a great way to set your mind on track for the rest of the day and night.
Think about what you hope to gain from the festival, such as meeting new ravers, or checking out new sets and DJs. Being intentional is a great way to ease yourself into the festival, as well as giving yourself goals if you want to step outside your comfort zone.
Heading into a festival can be a lot of different feelings and senses. Take the moment to enjoy the experience in real time and take in all the different sights of the festival, the people, the stages and art installations, and the energy.
It’s hard to capture these moments on phones and videos so being present and enjoying even small memories are the best way to connect your mind with positive memories and people.
When you’re catching fire sets, put away your phone and camera and take in the music from your senses! There’s no better way to experience the festival than to live in the moment and enjoy the time with the presence of other ravers.
Many festivals put a lot of effort into getting talented artists to decorate and design a lot of the different parts of the festivals. You can find so many art installations at festivals and even spots that welcome you to relax but also to interact with.
Take some time away from the sets to experience other parts of the festivals. Connecting with art is a great way to practice mindfulness and also be reflective. You never know what you might discover beyond the music!
Being in a crowd especially in the heat can be overwhelming not only for your body, but also for your mind. Make sure to take breaks with your crew, even if it means just stepping out and sitting down for a bit.
With so many people and especially if the environment is new to you, understanding when to take breaks is super helpful for making sure that everyone is safe and comfortable; plus, wandering around from stage to stage is always fun and you’ll make memories no matter where you are at a festival.
In order to practice mindfulness, you need to make sure to fuel your body! Before heading into the festival, make sure that you’re providing your body with nutritious meals and snacks, such as fruits and protein. Make sure that you’re also hydrating throughout the festival and even before and after; electrolytes like Liquid IV and
Gatorade are the perfect option to make sure your body is getting all the hydration you need beforehand and after! Fueling your body with nutritious sources will make sure that you have the energy you need to keep yourself going all day and night. Even when inside the festival, there are plenty of food and drink options, and almost always free water refill stations, so make sure you make a stop at these places when inside the festival!
There are plenty of items that you can bring with you to help ease your mind and body. One item that I find super useful is earplugs. If you get good quality reusable artists’ earplugs, you’ll be able to block out loud noises without dampening the sounds of the music.
Earplugs are a great way to practice mindfulness and relax your senses, especially since loud music for long periods of time can be super overstimulating! A big hand fan is also super nice to have and a great way to cool off in a big crowd. Another item that is super great are sunglasses or shades; like with earplugs, sunglasses can help block out the sun or super bright lights, even at night. Festivals come with great production, but sometimes the blinding lights or strobe effects can be a lot on your eyes and mind.
Another rave essential is a pashmina: pashes are great for bundling up when it’s cold or if you’re feeling anxious. They are also super nice to have on the ground so you can lay down when you’re taking breaks.
Everyone’s rave experience is super different, from the sets that you see, to the people that you meet. It’s great to take time at the end of the day to reflect on what you’ve experienced throughout the day, either alone or with your rave fam. You can highlight some of your best memories, funny moments that you’ve experienced, new people that you met, new music that you heard, and so much more.
Was there something different that you would’ve liked to have done or seen? Reflecting on your day can allow you to make changes for the next day or next festival and being meaningful in your reflections will set your mind up for positivity and overall, help guide you to make the next festival experience even better!

With her upcoming performance at the Off the Grid Campout on the horizon, we caught up with Gina to explore her production process, her evolving musical inspirations, and how motherhood shapes her artistry.
iHR: Tell us about your production process on your music. How do you find inspiration?
Gina Turner: These days I find inspiration in the brief moments I can, since my life is very much kid-focused these days. I’m really inspired by liquid drum ‘n bass and bass centric music but still lean into fun tech-house.
iHR: What kind of music are you listening to these days?
GT: This is a funny question because I RARELY listen to music unless I'm DJing or teaching yoga. Right now on my playlist, it is filled with a lot of East Forest, and it’s very instrumental heavy. I also just went to an Incubus concert!
"I would pair this amazing robe on top of yoga wear for my dj set for a seamless transition from yoga teacher to dj moment"
infinite expanse platform sneakers
"These are so perfect for off the grid campout! I love them! SO great for dancing around alll night and exploring all the grounds and the stages!"
iHR: Are you working on any new music?
GT: Yes!!! I have a two track release coming out in October on Quack Squawk Honk! And then a full EP with many different genres, coming out on Jubilee’s label Magic City!
iHR: You're about to host a yoga class at Off The Grid Campout, can you tell us about that? What inspired you to combine yoga and music into one?
GT: I am so excited to be back at Off The Grid Campout again! I love when I’m able to combine my two passions like this! This all happened very organically because when promoters and festivals got wind in 2012 that I was a yoga teacher, nightclubs and festivals wanted to start offering classes hosted by me. However, the Off The Grid experience will be so special and one-of-a-kind, and I plan on doing a meditation as well to really ground everybody into a loving community vibe that already exists at OTG, and setting that intention will be a beautiful co-creative moment.

"I love this for when i am DJing until sunrise, and then I could easily teach yoga after."
"Especially for the cold desert nights having something to keep me warm and still feel sexy and represent mushroom consciousness."
iHR: You have two daughters. Has music been a passion that they share with you?
GT: Absolutely! My almost 2-year-old is very into electronic music and loves to dance and watch me DJ. And my 10 year old EvaLina is a wonderful singer and can play the piano quite well.
false alarm fishnet rainbow reflective chaps
"I would throw these chaps on over the bodysuit and its a wrap!"
"This skirt checks all the boxes for me, from dj sets, to leading a meditation I am here for this."
iHR: What is your favorite festival or rave memory?
GT: Ahhhh this is a tough one to answer because I have so many, but there’s always a special place in my heart for the festivals I’ve DJed while pregnant!!!
iHR: Tell us about your festival/rave style:
GT: Ahhh! I like multi-functioning outfits that can double as a yoga teacher outfit or a fun DJ outfit, but I definitely lean into mesh and lace a lot!!
iHR: If you created a piece of kandi today, what would it say?
GT: Include it All (like the vocals of my track override)

]]>Not only does it leave lasting effects after the show, but being exposed to loud music for extended amounts of time can lead to serious issues like hearing loss. To keep your ears protected, getting a pair of good quality earplugs is essential and will allow you to keep on raving, without compromising your hearing or the sound! Here are some of best earplugs for ravers.
Eargasm is a well known brand among ravers and is a fan favorite. The earplugs come in a compact shape but still provide you the perfect amount of protection to filter out the harmful noises without muffling the sounds. Eargasm earplugs come in multiple sizes that are included in each unit and also include a removable filter that can provide extra protection.
There are plenty of cool colors so you can match your outfit! They also have partnered with festivals, like EDC and Electric Forest, which come in a cute carrying case so you can wear your earplugs in style.
Ideal For: Those who want stylish options and multiple sizes and ability to have extra filtering.
This brand makes all kinds of earplugs that come in different sizes and shapes. These standard fit ones are a great starter pair that come with a case and string that you can secure them on to so you don’t lose them. They come in multiple ear tip sizes so you can find your perfect fit.
Ideal For: Those who want to enjoy the music in its purest form while protecting their hearing.
Similar to Etymotic earplugs, Vibes earplugs come with a long post that makes inserting and removing easy. If you’re not a fan of the tiered fit on the Etymotics, Vibes High are another great option with a softer silicone eartip. These also include a filter inside which lowers harmful sounds without distortion.
Ideal For: Those who want an elegant solution that doesn’t compromise on sound quality or style.
If you’re having trouble finding the right fit with your earplugs, Decibullz provides a great option that allows you to custom mold your own right at home. The material can mold to the exact shape of your ear and allows for the perfect fit and protection.
Ideal For: Those who want a personalized fit and superior noise reduction.
Loop earplugs are a stylish option for those who avoid earplugs because of how they look. There are many styles and colors to choose from, and the shape of them also allows you to attach them to earrings or strings so that you don’t ever have to worry about losing them! The Loop Experience model is the best option for those that go to a lot of live events and they come in colors that can match essentially any outfit. They also come with multiple tip sizes and a removable filter for extra protection as well.
Ideal For: Those who want both functionality and fashion in their earplugs and those who lose their earplugs often.
If your budget allows you to invest in some really nice pairs of earplugs, you always have the option to go with professional, custom fitted earplugs. This route requires a lot more time and money as you would need to see an audiologist to get them custom molded and fitted, however, your hearing is definitely worth the investment, so if you’re able to, this is definitely a doctor approved option.
Even if you’re not able to get the nicer reusable earplugs, foam earplugs are still a great option and backup! You can get a pack of them at your local drugstore. Even though the reusable earplugs do a better job of filtering out the loud sounds, foam ones still do a great job of protecting your ears and making sure you don’t leave an event with ringing ears. I like to keep a pack of them around like in my car or a few extra pairs in my bag since I can’t ever go to a rave without earplugs.
All in all, when it comes to protecting your ears at festivals and raves, choosing the right ones can make all the difference and do the job of protecting your hearing but also allowing you to still enjoy the music. Whatever you choose to prioritize whether it’s custom fit, clarity or style, there are so many options for you to choose from. So make sure you get a pair for your next event!
]]>This year, lace is making a major comeback on the rave scene, and we’re here to show you how to rock this trend like a pro. Whether you’re going for a soft and ethereal look or something a bit more edgy, lace has got you covered.
If you’re looking to make a statement, start with lace tops or bodysuits. A sheer lace bodysuit paired with some high-waisted shorts or a skirt is a killer combo. For a more daring look, layer it over a bright bralette or a funky neon bra. The sheer lace adds a mysterious, yet chic vibe that’s perfect for those late-night dance sessions.
Forest Nymph Halter Lace Bodysuit Set
Dreaming of a more ethereal look? Lace dresses are the way to go. From floaty, bohemian styles to more structured pieces, lace dresses can be dressed up or down. For festivals, go for a mini dress with layered lace or a maxi dress with lace detailing at the hem. Add some statement boots or funky sneakers to keep the look fresh and festival-ready.
Pro Tip: Layer your lace dress with a cool mesh or holographic jacket for an added layer of texture and style.

]]>Raves are all about self-expression, and the boho vibe is making a major comeback this season. If you're looking to mix chill energy with carefree style, this guide will have you flowing through any set with effortless vibes. From neutrals to trippy prints, here's your go-to guide for pulling off the boho look at your next rave!
When it comes to boho style, neutrals are a staple. Think earth tones like beige, sand, olive, and rusty brown. These colors give off a grounded, natural vibe that’s perfect for any festival setting.
Try mixing and matching different shades of neutrals to create a layered look. A neutral crop top or bralette paired with flowy pants or a maxi skirt can create an effortless yet chic outfit. Plus, neutrals are a solid base if you want to accessorize with pops of color or layered jewelry.
Boho and florals go hand-in-hand, bringing a fresh, romantic twist to rave fashion. Tiny floral prints, oversized flowers, or embroidered floral details on clothing can instantly transport you to a whimsical, festival-ready mindset.
Whether you're rocking a flowy floral dress or a sheer floral kimono, you’ll blend perfectly with the festival's natural surroundings. The key to keeping it rave-appropriate is to pair florals with bold accessories like statement belts or metallic makeup.
Comfort is key at raves, and nothing says "boho chic" like a pair of flowy pants. Wide-legged, high-waisted, or even harem pants are the ultimate go-to for dancing the night away. The best part? They’re light, breathable, and perfect for twirling under festival lights.
Whether you go for a solid neutral color or a fun, psychedelic print, flowy pants give off a laid-back, effortlessly cool vibe that’ll keep you comfy without sacrificing style.
For those wanting to amp up the energy, trippy prints are where it's at. Swirling patterns, kaleidoscopic designs, and tie-dye-inspired looks scream boho but with a psychedelic twist.
Pair a trippy print top with neutral pants or go all-in with a matching set to turn heads. These prints can bring a vibrant, hypnotic feel to your outfit, especially when paired with flowy silhouettes and bold accessories.
Rave fashion is all about balancing style with comfort, and cotton is the MVP of breathable fabrics. Lightweight, soft, and easy to dance in, cotton is perfect for those long festival hours.
A cotton crop top or bralette paired with flowy bottoms or a boho skirt keeps things light and airy, while still being stylish. Plus, it’s ideal for layering if the festival day turns into a chilly night—just throw on a cotton hoodie or kimono for extra warmth without losing the boho vibe.

Boho fashion is perfect for expressing your free spirit while staying comfortable, making it a rave must-have. With neutrals, florals, flowy pants, and trippy prints, you’ll be turning heads at any festival!

Creeping Zombies
Time to get creepy! For a killer zombie look, you'll need some tattered clothing. Rip up an old dress or jeans and add some fake blood for that "fresh from the grave" feel. Smudge on some grayish makeup, create dark circles under your eyes, and tease your hair to look disheveled. Go all out with zombie contacts for that extra spooky touch!
Make any costume a zombie look with the right makeup. We love the idea of a zombie nurse, or even a zombie cheerleader!
Echoes of Carnage Men's Blood Printed Robe
Dark Angel
Unleash your inner angel of darkness. Start with a black corset and flowy black skirt. Accessorize with dark angel wings and chunky combat boots. Whether you're aiming to conjure up some devilish mischief, embrace your inner vampire, go full slasher mode, or cast some wicked spells, we’ve got the ultimate costume guide to help you slay the spooky season. Let's get into it!
If you’re ready to embrace your darker side this Halloween, the devil costume is your go-to. Think fiery red, pitchforks, and devilish grins. Here's how to make your devil costume stand out.
Pure Temptation Ultra Crop Top and Bottoms
For those who prefer to keep things mysterious and alluring, a vampire costume is perfect. Channel your inner Count Dracula with these pieces:
Butterfly Dance Chain Top and Bottoms
If you’re all about that intense, slasher movie vibe, then this is your moment to shine. Here are some pieces that would make a great slasher costume:
Echoes of Carnage Men's Blood Printed Robe
Bloody Mary Thigh High Printed Socks
Dead to Me Dripping Blood Necklace
Corsets look great with triangle tops, but have you ever thought about just rocking one with pasties? Some corsets even have a built-in fishnet or mesh layer that is great for showing off a cute pair of pasties. Check out the False Alarm Fishnet Rainbow Reflective Corset for an example. Pair it with reflective pasties for the perfect, trendy look!
Neva Nude White Reflective Cross Pasties
My personal favorite use of pasties is under mesh. You’re still covered, but you can use the pasties as a visible accessory. Mesh is very breathable, so it won’t make you overheat while you’re dancing, even if you’re wearing long sleeves. The Reflective Wave Mesh Long Sleeve Crop Top looks awesome with pasties. When you add the matching skirt, you’ll have a fashionable outfit for any event!
Sasswear X iHR Shroom Party Reflective Pasties and Body Stickers Set
Turn any harness into a top with pasties! If you find the perfect harness for your outfit and don’t want to put a top underneath, try pasties instead. They can stand out or blend in as much as you want, depending on the color and shape you choose. Pasties will give you so many options when styling a harness! These Black Vinyl Cross Pasties under the Troublemaker Chain Harness Top would make for a totally cool, edgy look.
Functional fashion
You don’t have to forgo all coverage to partake in this trend. Pasties can be essential with certain tops and bodysuits. Protect yourself from a wardrobe malfunction in even your smallest tops. Maybe you’re wearing something that is really low cut or a DIY shirt that you don’t fully trust. Instead of worrying about your outfit all night, dance with confidence with the added security of pasties! Go with a basic nude pasty or have a little fun with it and match them to your outfit.
One of the most beautiful things about the rave world is that you can wear literally whatever you want. No one is going to judge you or question your style, no matter how much or little coverage your outfit has to offer. If you are going to feel like your best self rocking pasties as a top, go for it! There are some really cute pasties out there, show them off. For example, these Glow-In-The-Dark Alien Pasties are meant to be seen at night at a festival.
Neva Nude Tinky's Revenge Pasties
Pasties are a super versatile accessory. You can take advantage of this trend even if you’re hoping the pasties will stay under the fabric of your shirt the entire night. No matter how you choose to style them, have fun and be yourself!

Extraterrestrial themes are huge in the rave world, and Halloween is the best excuse to dress up as a sexy alien or a house-loving astronaut. There are also a ton of opportunities for couples and group costumes that fit this theme! Add some glitter, and you will surely have an out-of-this-world Halloween experience!
Feeling wild this spooky season? Cowgirl costumes are super cute and perfect for any Halloween event. Embrace your wild side and let loose with a cowboy hat and your best chaps, or make it glam!

Certain costumes will never go out of style. Classic costumes come back every year because they are timeless. If you’re feeling scary this Halloween, try a holographic skeleton or a seductive devil costume. If you’re going for a flirtier vibe, you can never go wrong with the Team Techno Cheerleader outfit. This fit is a fun take on the basic cheerleader costume! You can make any of the classics your own with glitter, accessories, and other modern twists.
Have a legendary Halloween dressed as your favorite mythical creature! Fairies, elves and unicorns are not only charming characters, but they are also very trendy right now. These Fractal Fantasy Fairy Wings will transform any outfit into an enchanting fairy ensemble. You could also pair this Rainbow Unicorn Costume with some sparkly fishnets for a dazzling festival look!
Ravers love to dress up year-round. But if there's one thing that we don't get to do often, it's bring the spooky vibes with scary costumes around Halloween! This time of year is the perfect time to show off your spooky side, with costumes that are gory, creepy, or all around terrifying.
No matter what you decide to be this year, you can’t go wrong. As long as you’re feeling like your best self, you’re going to slay this Halloween!

]]>Most themed costumes can be broken down into three categories: classic Halloween, pop culture, and funny. Discuss which kind of vibe you want to bring to your event with your squad first to help narrow down your options.
May The Force Be With You Star Wars Costume
The next step is to consider how many people are in on the theme. Some themed ideas only work with a set amount of people. Is it just the two of you? There are loads of couple’s costume ideas on the internet. Devil and angel, Rick and Morty, the Wicked Witch of the West and Dorothy, an alien and an astronaut, etc. My best friend and I went as peanut butter and jelly one year.
If you have a group of three, there are a bunch of fun themed choices: the three sisters from Hocus Pocus, the Power Puff girls, the Three Musketeers, the Three Little Pigs, etc. For groups of four, you could go as the Hogwarts houses, Teletubbies, Mean Girls, etc.
Dark Arts Ultra Crop Top, Top, and Skirt in White
Themes that don’t depend on the number of participants are great for groups big or small. Think Toy Story, Squid Game, Winx Club, Care Bears, Attack on Titan members, different flavors of White Claws, Bratz dolls etc. I even saw a group dressed up as chips and a bag of Doritos, which I thought was pretty great.
Now to the fun part: planning your outfits. Unless your group is going with an idea that is completely out there (I applaud you for your creativity, but also caution that you might get a lot of people asking what you are), odds are there is a costume at a costume store ready for purchase, but to put your own spin on it and make your theme turned rave is where stores like savormeditation come into play.
Start with your base. Try your best to match the colors or patterns to the character you are going for. Next are accessories. Especially with Halloween costumes, accessories can make or break an outfit. Does the character wear a hat? Do they have a signature item they always carry with them? What about jewelry? Every little detail you add to your outfit makes it more and more clear to others who you are trying to portray, just make sure whatever accessory you are adding to your look is allowed into your event.
And last, we have hair and makeup. If the character has a predominant physical trait, like big, poofy red hair or a scar, adding these finishing touches with a wig or some makeup will help solidify your character.
Whatever theme you go with, I hope this post has helped you think about different details of an outfit to consider so your outfit screams who or what you chose to become for the night. You can shop the Halloween collection at savormeditation here for last minute costume ideas. Have a happy and safe Halloween!

]]>Even just a few years ago, rave fashion was changing and designs were becoming popular within the rave scene. Back then, many people wore rave tops and shorts that had cool and trippy designs. Many people still added lots of glitter and rhinestones to their face as part of the makeup, like adding individual rhinestones along the eyebrows or around the eyes.
Endless Nights Long Sleeve Crop Top
Throughout the years, there have been more and more unique designs, and nowadays, many of them feature rhinestones and sparkly sequins. Nowadays, rhinestones and sequins don’t just go on your face. Many sets and rave pieces will feature them all over! For example, the Bling it on Rhinestone set has glitter stones studded from top to bottom.
Many people have evolved from just rhinestones to the face and clothes; they are now part of lots of fashion pieces, for example accessories and shoes! Here is an example of some studded out goggles that will glimmer in the lights and sun at a rave.
Rhinestones are a great addition to your outfit and accessories. You can easily elevate your outfit by adding rhinestones! They are super easy to add. Many people have also started studding their hair with rhinestones. If you grew up as a kid in the 2000s, you might’ve used something like a bedazzler like this before, and now they are blowing up again!
Butterfly Dance Chain Top and Bottoms
Sequins have also been a big part of rave fashion. They especially blew up in the 2010s when the flip sequins were in style, and that along with regular sequins were seen in a lot of rave fashion. Back then, there were more straightforward with all sequined clothes in one color. Sequins have definitely changed in the scope of raves, and there are a lot more intricate designs made with sequins that can be seen on a lot of the rave fashion now, for example, like sequin fringed skirts and sleeves, sequin sewn designs, and many more unique colors!
And of course, sequins are also seen in many accessories now, like gloves and hats and shoes and more!
Dance Into Dawn Curve Rhinestone Fishnet Dress
Happy Ever After Marabou Mesh top and Skirt
Sequins and rhinestones started off with basic designs and colors as simple additions to rave makeup and fashion. They have slowly evolved to taking over rave clothes and accessories and when you see rhinestones and sequins everywhere, you’ll know you’re at a rave! They not only come in cute colors and designs that make you stand out, the reflectiveness of rhinestones and sequins will make you glimmer in the sun at a festival or once the light beams hit you at a rave! Consider adding some glitter and shine to your outfit and you’ll be the next star of the show in the crowd!

Raves are not just about the music; they're a canvas for self-expression and style evolution. The 2010s was a renaissance for rave clothes, if I do say so myself. I was freshly 18 at the time, and If you're just getting into the indie sleaze trend, here's your ultimate guide to rocking the vibe from dusk till dawn.
Oversized shirts are the bread and butter of the indie sleaze aesthetic. Think vintage band tees or thrifted finds that scream '90s grunge. Pair a baggy Nirvana tee with chunky platform boots for a look that's effortlessly cool and comfy. Tie it at the waist or let it flow - the choice is yours.
Rage Nation Divine Guidance Tee
Skirts in the indie sleaze world are all about embracing contrast. Mix a flowy floral skirt with a studded leather jacket or go full '90s with a plaid mini and combat boots. Layer fishnets underneath for added edge, and don't shy away from bold prints or asymmetrical cuts to keep things interesting.
Channel your inner rockstar with grungy makeup that screams rebellion. Smudged eyeliner, dark, matte lips, and a hint of glitter on the lids add a touch of glam to your grunge. Embrace smoky eyes and experiment with unconventional lip colors like deep burgundy or matte black to complete your indie sleaze look.
Black is the cornerstone of the indie sleaze palette. It's not just a color; it's a statement. Layer oversized black hoodies over ripped fishnets or pair black denim with a vintage graphic tee. Mix textures like leather and velvet for added depth, and don't forget to accessorize with silver chains or chokers to elevate your outfit.
Sequins add a touch of sparkle to the indie sleaze mix. Opt for sequined tops paired with distressed jeans or sequined skirts with a grungy band tee. Balance the shimmer with matte textures and edgy accessories to keep your look grounded in the underground rave scene.
Whether you're hitting the dance floor or chilling at sunset sets, indie sleaze is about embracing contradictions and rewriting the rave fashion rules. Mix vintage finds with modern staples, experiment with textures and layers, and above all, wear your style with confidence. Let your outfit speak volumes and your vibe be electric.
]]>Wicked Delight’s and Space Yacht’s Boat Party Season Finale 2024 was a feel-good, yet exclusive voyage to house music and beyond for Southern California. This annual day cruise never falls short of legendary. Featuring Will Clarke and other house music superstars in interesting or historical spaces is another day in the office for Space Yacht but a wonder for those who traveled to Long Beach in search of an experience for the mind, body, and soul.
Every year, the special guest and headlining set curation grows with globally recognized dance-sensation artists! One of the primary highlights of this event every year is the reveal of the artist scheduled to perform at the house stage. This year’s special headlining set showcased Grammy-nominated UK producer, Will Clarke. Clarke performed his remix of Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence” as this regular cruise ship transformed into a party boat with 130 BPM in the air like the sea breeze.
If the dance floor already wasn’t mesmerized, Clarke mixed “Innerbloom” by Rüfüs Du Sol. The dance floor stopped dancing for a moment during this sentimental track like it was a respectful moment of silence. It’s not everyday you have the chance to experience Will Clarke on a small, intimate stage on a boat! A pink sunset, tacos, and tequila on a cruise ship with Will Clarke performing feet away is an unexpected experience.
After boarding the boat, the Space Yacht team gave everyone an exclusive Space Yacht Boat Party bead necklace to wear and take home as a souvenir. Once the boat was sailing, someone busted out a handheld disco ball at the house stage. The (traveling) disco ball’s whereabouts changed constantly as it was passed to others on their way to other stages!
Space Yacht yellow rubber duckies clipped to white captain hats were the hottest festival fashion item on the boat! Of course, everyone was wearing sunglasses to block the sun (and the haters off the boat). House music is a catalyst for connection and bringing people together. Some would argue that is what house music is all about! The boat-partiers on this aquatic excursion were open to mingle, and express PLUR such as giving stickers or buying others in the bar line a water/drink.
Just next to the cruise ship was the historical and apparently haunted landmark, The Queen Mary. The Queen Mary, an ocean liner now a hotel, museum and event space was a colossal sight! It made the Space Yacht cruise ship look as small as a honeybee and fostered a mingling environment like a honeycomb.
The official after party Night Temple was held at AltarLB, a premiere venue that was formerly a Masonic temple in 1903. This Masonic temple wasn’t used for worship in its prime, but 121 years later, music is worshiped here anyway. The century gave Downtown Long Beach a dance floor with a grand disco ball where history says this temple was used differently.
A rave family I encountered drove from Las Vegas, NV in search of hedonistic-good house music because they grew tired of their local EDM scene. Sightseeing and exploring the Downtown Long Beach area was easily accomplished simultaneously during the event for tourists.
While the other stage was dedicated to house music, the other stage was dedicated to hip-hop and trap music. Charli xcx’s hits “365”, “Apple”, and “360” from her new album, Brat were mixed at both stages at the same time. This was the first time I heard the trendsetting Queen of “Brat Summer” mixed on the dance floor this season.
Other than the brat queen blasted through the speakers, I don’t think I’ve ever seen people dance so hard to trap music. In some moments, I heard what I would describe as trap music and in other moments I would describe it as experimental bass.
Other moments sounded like a heavy trap-dominant sound profile layered with a similar sound to experimental bass. Since I don’t listen or expose myself to the underrated EDM subgenre of trap music, my mind was blown during this unique performance.
Located minutes away from where the cruise ship docked, AltarLB was the next destination in this Space Yacht journey. Live painting was arranged next to an official chill corner with couches and a bar at every stage. Chandeliers and a disco ball hung from the main stage; you wouldn’t believe this venue was a former Masonic temple.
Friendly Fire, a DJ-producer duo made of London Bridge and Adam Auburn, performed prior to Will Clarke. Night Temple ignited the heat in Friendly Fire! The pair created a seamless B2B set which reflected their amicable nature in mixing house music together. The crowd was introduced to tracks like “Tiki” when the after party began.
A performance so encapsulating, I thought this would be a rare two-three hour set from the duo. Watching the two produce a live mix using the microphone for a track, showing each other what they could do in a musical sense was out of the ordinary. Plus, who doesn’t love to see the wholesome connection between two friends having fun while they mix on stage?

Neon is the future, and we're here for it. Bright, bold colors are taking over, and the best part? There's no wrong way to wear them. Neon eyeliner, eyeshadow, and even mascara are making statements. Why settle for regular highlighter when you can go holographic? Holo highlights add a futuristic sheen to your cheekbones, brow bones, and even your collarbones. These iridescent powders catch the light in the most mesmerizing way, giving you an otherworldly glow that's perfect for any occasion.
Graphic eyeliner is all about sharp lines and unexpected shapes. Think beyond the classic winged liner and experiment with geometric designs, double wings, or even negative space. It's edgy, it's bold, and it's totally customizable. Pair your graphic liner with a neutral lip or go all out with a bold lip color for extra impact.
Glitter isn't just for festivals anymore. It's time to bring the sparkle into your everyday life. From glitter eyeshadow to glitter lips, the possibilities are endless. Use chunky glitter for a dramatic effect or fine glitter for a more subtle shimmer. Just remember, there's no such thing as too much glitter in the future!
Metallics are making a huge comeback, and they're perfect for adding a futuristic edge to your makeup look. Whether you're rocking a metallic eyeshadow, lipstick, or even blush, these shades add a touch of sci-fi chic to your style. Silver, gold, and rose gold are classics, but don't be afraid to experiment with other metallic hues like blue or green.
Inspired by the cyberpunk aesthetic, this look is all about sleek lines, neon accents, and a bit of attitude. Think dark lips, metallic eyes, and bold brows. Add some futuristic accessories like LED-lit hair clips or neon face stickers to complete the vibe. It's a look that's straight out of a sci-fi movie and perfect for those who love to stand out.
Glossy lips, glossy eyes, glossy skin – the future is shiny and we love it. Gloss gives a fresh, dewy finish that's perfect for any occasion. Use a clear gloss over your eyeshadow for a wet-look eye, or layer gloss over your favorite lipstick for an extra pop. For a futuristic twist, try a holographic or metallic gloss.
