As of October 2^nd, the area known as Thornville in Ohio may very well not exist as it is today; instead it is quite possible as of that day all that remains is a massive crater in the ground with ensuing wreckage comparable to that of the legendary Pompeii disaster; just instead of volcanic ash and city remnants, there will only be shards of broken rails, half torn speakers, and filth-engulfed stage debris.

5 years ago, an event transpired that forever changed the face of not just one artist, but for EDM as a whole. This event created a sonic boom that began a domino effect of incredible success for one artist, cemented his name in EDM lore forever, and most importantly brought the subgenre of dubstep to the forefront of the American EDM and created a pioneer and a face for the brand.

By the end of 2015, there will be one name everyone in the electronic community will be talking about saying it was “his/her year”. 2015 thus far has been incredible for the scene in terms of new music and its ever-changing landscape of artists and sounds, and so many names have continued to build off of their previous success with others leapfrogging high into the spotlight.
