So, you've just survived another epic Electric Daisy Carnival, and you're feeling like a headbanging tornado. We all know the post-EDC feels can hit harder than anything, so here's your ultimate guide to decompression after the festival of a lifetime.
First things first: water is your BFF. You spent the last few days dancing under the desert sky, so your body is screaming for hydration. Chug that H2O, and maybe toss in some electrolytes for good measure. Coconut water, sports drinks, or even a DIY electrolyte mix will help get you back to life.
Glitter is a vibe, but it doesn't need to live on your body forever. Hit the shower and give yourself a good scrub. Use a gentle exfoliator to get rid of the remnants of your wild weekend without wrecking your skin. Pro tip: baby oil can help with stubborn glitter patches.
EDC is a marathon, not a sprint, so your body deserves some serious pampering. Run a warm bath with Epsom salts to soothe those sore muscles. Light some candles, throw on a chill playlist, and just soak. Your body (and your soul) will thank you.
After days of festival food, your body is craving some real nourishment. Load up on fruits, veggies, and lean proteins to replenish your energy. And hey, don't be afraid to treat yourself to a pizza or your fave comfort food. Balance is key!
You've been bombarded with lights, sounds, and social media for days. Take a step back and unplug for a bit. Put your phone on Do Not Disturb, binge-watch a Netflix series, or get lost in a good book. Give your mind a break from the constant stimulation.
Take some time to reflect on your EDC experience. Journal about your favorite sets, new friends, and magical moments. Gratitude and reflection can help you process the highs and lows, keeping the positive vibes flowing long after the festival ends.
Just because EDC is over doesn’t mean the connections you made have to be. Keep in touch with your new rave buddies. Share pics, reminisce about your favorite moments, and plan your next festival adventure together. Rave fam is forever!
What better way to cure post-EDC blues than planning your next rave adventure? Whether it's another festival, a local event, or even just a weekend getaway, having something to look forward to can keep your spirits high.
Remember, decompression is all about finding your balance and restoring your energy. EDC might be over, but the memories and the vibes will stay with you forever. So take care of yourself, spread those positive vibes, and keep dancing through life!
]]>Nothing makes a statement quite like graphic eyeliner. Whether you go for black, white, or colored liner, you can accentuate your eyes by drawing geometric lines, dual wings, or unique shapes. Look for a colored, waterproof, liquid eyeliner to create this look and use the natural shape of your eye as a guide for where to place the lines.
It’s EDC, so it’s time to pull out all the stops! Stick-on gems add all the bling to your rave look. There are single press-on rhinestones or packs of jewels you can apply above your eyebrows or below your eyes. Some are even reusable and can be applied with eyelash glue if the stick starts to fade!
Be a show-stopper by applying temporary tats to your face! You can use them on your cheekbones, next to your eyes, or above your brows. You can also pair them with face jewels to put them around your body as seen above.
This is my personal go-to rave look. I do my classic black eyeliner wing with no shadow on my lid - but then I add a pop of neon color to the inner corner of my eyes. I especially love doing this with shimmery, holographic eye shadow. It brightens and draws attention to the eyes.
Go with the full rainbow spectrum this EDC! You can apply ROYGBIV to each eyelid - or, do red, orange, and yellow on one lid, and green, blue, and purple on the other lid for a look that spans your whole face
Filling in your brows is a common step for applying makeup, but have you ever tried a vivid, colorful brow? You can use eye shadow or even a colored liner to fill them in with a color of your choice, letting your brows take the center stage of your look!
If you’re doing a single colored outfit, like an all pink or an all neon green look, stick with that monochrome color for your makeup. It will tie your whole look together. Adding some stick-on rhinestones that match your color will put the cherry on top.
I’m obsessed with holographic, shimmery, color-shifting makeup! Adding some holographic color to your cheekbones will keep you looking like a shimmery fairy all night long.
Have you ever tried to paint on cow spots, plaid lines, or fluffy clouds to your eyelids? EDC could be the opportunity you’re waiting for! Depending on your outfit, match a bold pattern and apply it to your eyes.
Would you go with red, orange, yellow, or green, blue, purple? Pick a side - warm or cool - and use that for your makeup inspiration. You can use colored liners, shimmery eye shadows, and vivid lipstick to make this hot or cold look come to life. Bonus points: your best friend can be the hot to your cold, or vice versa!
No matter which makeup idea you go for, be sure to apply setting spray before heading to EDC to lock in your makeup for a long night of dancing! It’s smart to bring eyelash glue or lipstick with you in case of an emergency re-apply. The hardest part, for me at least, is not touching my face once my makeup is on! If applied correctly and set in place with setting spray, it’s best not to mess with it. But, I would recommend sticking a few cotton swabs in your bag, just in case you need to touch up the area under your eyes. We’ll all be crying during our favorite sets, but we’ve got to keep our makeup looking fire. Remember to stay hydrated and have an amazing time under the electric sky!

There are tons of places and areas to stay in Las Vegas that are either in the thick of it all on The Strip or a little more off the beaten path in places like Summerlin or in an AirBnb around Vegas. Choosing which area is going to really change the whole vibe of ur trip, so make sure u choose the right area. Here is our advice on where to stay in Vegas during EDC:
On the Strip
The Las Vegas Strip is going to give you the classic EDC experience because it's centrally located and there is a lot going on. There are tons of hotels on the strip that range from luxury to budget, which we'll get into later, and there is always a lot going on.
If you only plan on going to EDC for one or two days and want to enjoy other things around Vegas on the other days I definitely recommend staying on the strip. There are tons of casinos, night clubs, day clubs, shopping, restaurants and even shows to check out. You definitely won't be bored!
Downtown/Old Las Vegas
One of the many secrets to EDC is to stay Downtown or in Old Las Vegas during the festival to take advantage of the shorter shuttle lines, faster ride to the festival and more affordable hotel rates. Old Las Vegas is a cute area that embraces the artsy side of the city and plays into the old neon you would have seen around Vegas in the 1900s.
There is a good mix of budget and luxury in this area, which again we'll get into later, and there is also a lot going on during any given weekend so again, you won't be bored if you take a night off of EDC or want to check things out during the day.
Off-Strip (AirBnb)
For bigger parties there are tons of options either right off the strip, in condos on the strip closer to Resorts World and the newer hotels on the North Strip area, or even in neighborhoods like Henderson or Summerlin (though these areas might be a bit far from the festival). If you do go the Airbnb route make sure that you know the area that the rental is in, or that you're ok with making the trek to the festival.
For a truly unique experience I recommend renting a mansion (there are a bunch near the Vegas airport right off of the strip) or luxury condo, especially if you're going with a big group. Airbnb has a whole category for Vegas mansions, so this could be the time to make ur Playboy dreams come true.
Camp EDC
EDC introduced camping options a couple of years ago which, I'll admit, seemed like the last thing I would want to do in such a hot place. However, I've heard nothing but good things about the camping situation at Camp EDC. The festival was moved to May to accommodate the new camping option the year it was introduced which significantly changed the heat problem.
The camping situation at EDC will get you a pretty luxe glamping experience in pre set up shift pods with either fully assembled beds or a more affordable option where u bring ur own gear. You can also bring ur own RV, which would be a great way to camp at EDC to avoid the traffic and long lines while bringing along the comfort of a hotel. You can learn more about Camp EDC here.

If Las Vegas is known for one thing, it's luxury. There are quite a few luxury options for hotels on the strip and these are my best recommendations. These options also offer in-hotel entertainment such as a night or day club that will likely have some pretty killer events throughout the week leading up to EDC and over the weekend:
Resorts World Las Vegas
Resorts World is the newest resort on the strip that actually offers three hotel options at different tiers. The most affordable of the three is the Hilton, with the Conrad in the mid-tier and then Crockfords for its most luxurious option. Onsite the resort offers a night club and a day club called Zouk, tons of dining options, a great pool area, a casino and even a swanky top-floor bar for great views of the Strip (I recommend going at night).
Wynn/Encore Las Vegas
The Wynn compound offers some of the most luxurious experiences that the Strip has to offer. There are two hotels—Wynn and Encore—which are connected so the experiences are roughly the same. Encore Beach Club is one of the most famous day clubs in Las Vegas, which turns into a night club at night. There is also XS, another club in the hotel, and tons of luxury dining and shopping options. If you're going all out for EDC, this is the place to stay.
Venetian/Caesar's Palace/Bellagio
I'm grouping these two options together because they're more or less next to one another, but are by no means the same. Caesar's and Bellagio offer some truly luxe experiences and are located in the dead center of the Strip. Caesar's offers Omnia, a world-famous mega club that always goes off during EDC week, and Bellagio offers a stunning pool area to relax in while u decompress from the night before. Caesar's is also more recently the host to the Nobu Hotel—a truly stunning luxury experience with simplistic Japanese interior design.
The Venetian and The Palazzo offer more affordable as well as more luxury options as well, and have tons of entertainment and dining experiences that include Tao. Each room in the Venetian is a suite, so you'll get a living room area in addition to your bed.
The Cosmopolitan/Aria/NoMad/Waldorf
The area around the T-Mobile Arena is basically just a giant compound of luxury hotels with a few affordable options sprinkled here and there. I love this part of Vegas because it feels very futuristic—it's sort of like having a piece of Miami in Las Vegas. You really can't go wrong with any of the options listed above but each offer slightly different experiences. Both Aria and The Cosmopolitan offer a resort experience with night clubs like Jewel and Marquee, tons of dining options (including Carbone and Din Tai Fung for those of you on that side of TikTok), and will be major EDC hubs for meeting other ravers.
The NoMad and Waldorf are a bit more secluded and offer more luxury, but are fantastic options especially if you're familiar with either of those hotel chains.
MGM
Like Resorts World, MGM offers tiers for its hotel rooms that range from the more affordable side to the ultra-luxury. The MGM Grand is a great option for larger groups because they offer lots of suite options, and the MGM resort offers tons of entertainment, dining and shopping options including Hakkasan and Wet Republic, two of the most famous clubs on the Strip.
Luxor
The Luxor is a classic budget hotel that offers tons of entertainment while being a central hub for a lot of EDC ravers. It's also home to the Lux Rave Pop Up Shop, which is the annual savormeditation pop up where you can shop for last minute raver gear, meet new rave friends, and just take in the good vibes. You can learn more about the Lux Rave Pop Up Shop here.
Flamingo/LINQ
This is a great budget option because there are a lot of dining and entertainment options nearby, and it's pretty centrally located. There are lots of shuttles that go close to this hotel, and it's near the highway so u can easily get off the strip and head to the festival.
Treasure Island
Treasure Island is a great budget option for shopping and dining because it's right next to Fashion Show mall. It's also close to the highway for easy access to the festival, and the hotel itself is clean.
Circa
One of the newest Downtown hotels is Circa, which offers nice, new rooms and lots of entertainment in a new Strip-style resort hotel. This hotel offers walking access to the Fremont Street experience and easy access to shuttles on ur way to the festival.
Golden Nugget
This is a great affordable option located very centrally in Downtown Las Vegas for easy access to the shuttles. The rooms are clean and pretty updated despite it being an old hotel, and it brings the classic old Las Vegas vibes.
The D
The D is one of the more popular hotels in the Downtown area and also offers more of a resort experience. It's also located centrally for shuttles, entertainment and other old Las Vegas experiences. It was remodeled a couple of years ago so the hotel itself is pretty updated.
]]>EDC Vegas is held over the course of three days at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and will take place this year on Friday, May 17th - Sunday, May 19th, 2024. Electric daisy carnival girls are known for being extra sweet! You can always use pastel as a basis for your EDC outfits and EDC costume ideas.
You can never go wrong with all black for your simple edc outfits. If you wanna feel like a baddie, pair booty shorts or a mini skirt with a mesh black top and thigh high boots. When choosing the pieces for your black outfit, look at the details and go with items that have something unique about them such as a buckle or harness element.
I consider mesh to be the “little black dress” of the rave scene. Every girl simply needs to have a few mesh outfits for womens EDC. Mesh is nice to have, especially because you can create multiple looks by switching out the tops or bottoms that you wear underneath.
Happy Ever After Marabou Mesh Top and Skirt
Circuit Breaker Spliced Fishnet Top
Give your outfit that little extra 'oomf by adding platform shoes to your look. Platforms come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, and colors and are absolutely essential to your EDC outfit. In addition to giving your outfit that little bit of extra flair, chances are that the extra height will be nice for seeing the stages! EDC boots come in all colors and heel heights but platforms are definitely the most fun.

]]>If you're staying in Las Vegas the festival isn't quite centrally located. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is about 18-20 miles off of the Las Vegas strip depending on where you're coming from. With traffic, that ride can easily go from 20 minutes to several hours, so you'll want to read on for our advice on how to get to EDC Las Vegas!
Rainbow Reflective Daisy Outfit
Flying:
Flying into Vegas is really easy, especially if you're staying on or near the Strip area or Downtown. Most airlines have pretty affordable flights into Vegas because it's a popular destination, and you can fly direct from most places in the United States.
The airport is conveniently located right off of the Strip, making it really easy to get to your hotel from an Uber. Still, Uber in Vegas can get pricey, so expect to pay at least $20 depending on where you're staying, likely more. Some hotels also offer shuttles, so look into that if you want to save on Uber to and from the airport.
Driving:
With no traffic, Vegas is about a four hour drive from the Los Angeles area. Keep in mind that I said no traffic though, because on a normal weekend that can go up to five or even six hours with how many people regularly go to Vegas from LA for the weekend. During EDC expect traffic to get worse, so plan ahead and leave early if you think you'll need to.
You can get to Vegas quickly from other cities like Salt Lake and Denver via I-15 which cuts directly through Las Vegas. It's about a six hour drive from Salt Lake and 11 hours from Denver. It's certainly more than Los Angeles, but you're unlikely to hit traffic coming from that direction.
EDC encourages its attendees to rideshare to the festival as much as possible. Hit up local rave groups on Facebook to find a ride to Vegas from your area—you might just find a new rave fam!
Shuttles:
EDC offers shuttles to and from the Speedway to many of the hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. Look for either your hotel or a hotel nearby to get the most direct access to the festival every day. You can get a shuttle pass on the EDC website here, which includes expedited security entry before you get to the festival to make things go a bit faster at the Speedway.
The shuttles can get pretty busy if you go at the same times as most of the crowds, so plan ahead if you want to skip the lines. I've never experienced the shuttles for myself, but I've heard horror stories about getting stuck in line for hours after the festival ends at sunrise. As much fun as it would be to stay until the end of the event, I'm also someone that would happily leave a little bit early to beat the crowds.
Rideshares and Taxis:
Uber and Lyft are a great option if you want something a bit more streamlined than the shuttle experience. While the shuttles are great, the luxury of a rideshare means that you don't have to stand in line to get on a shuttle on your way to and from the festival. However, these lines can get pretty lengthy as well and prices can skyrocket if you don't time your departures correctly.
Las Vegas also has tons of taxis available, and with the arrival of Uber several years ago taxis have had to get competitive with their prices. You might have a hard time finding a taxi at the Speedway to get back to the festival, but they can be a secret hack to saving some money on your way there each night.
Viper Vision Halter Cutout Bodysuit Outfit
Driving:
The drive to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is about 20-30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. This is a great option if you have a sober driver, though traffic can get pretty congested depending on when you're driving to or from the festival. General parking at EDC is free, though you can purchase premiere parking passes to get in and out of the lots a little bit easier.
Keep in mind that there are restrictions to parking. The festival doesn't allow tailgating and drinking alcohol in the parking lot is prohibited, as well as sleeping in your car or leaving your car at the festival once it ends.

Forget something vital for EDC? savormeditation has you covered once again with the annual Lux Rave pop up shop at the Luxor hotel. The store offers 10,000 square feet of last minute rave shopping starting May 15 until May 19. You can also stop by and pick up flow toys and gloving gear from our partner store, Emazing Lights, and other clothing from INTO THE AM. RSVP here.
There is no better way to get in the trippy spirit before EDC than at Omega Mart. The brand new Meow Wolf exhibit opened earlier this year at Area 15 just off the Las Vegas Strip. The psychedelic art installation takes you through a fever dream of a grocery store concept before you're sucked into an alternate reality. Set aside a night to check out this installment and the other activities at Area 15 before the festival begins.
Few things in Vegas are as famous as the nightlife. Even outside of EDC week, the club scene in Vegas has a little something for everyone. There's always the top clubs, like XS and Encore Beach Club, as well as Omnia, Hakkasan and the two newest clubs at the all new Resorts World Las Vegas, Zouk nightclub and Ayu day club.
Downtown Las Vegas may not have the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas Strip, but it does have local favorites like a killer bar scene, the Downtown Arts District, and some of the original Las Vegas landmarks we all know and love. The area is also home to Life Is Beautiful festival, which takes place each September.
Las Vegas is extremely hot in the summer, so many events that usually take place around then are moved to the spring and fall. Las Vegas Pride takes place in October, and although the bulk of the event is during the second weekend of October, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate Pride Month outside of the official festival. Catch a drag brunch on the strip or visit one of the many gay bars around the city.
]]>“EDC” is the nickname for the Electric Daisy Carnival, which is actually the largest electronic dance music festival in North America. Held each year in Las Vegas, Nevada, the three-day event has more than 400,000 people in attendance, which means it is one of the largest music festivals in the world. If you overhear someone talking about EDC, they’re most likely referring to EDC Las Vegas, but there are other locations around the world now as well. Today, the world of EDC festivals are held in the following locations:
Due to its location in Las Vegas, the weather for EDC is notoriously hot, and even moving the festival to October temporarily is unlikely to change that. It’s important to choose your wardrobe carefully and plan ahead so that you can stay hydrated, cool(ish), and comfortable.
You can think of EDC like one giant neon carnival with incredible music, which is a pretty unique EDM experience in the first place, but it’s not just the lights, sounds, and sensations that make EDC unique. Here are a few facts about just what makes EDC so special.
Although there’s a lot of focus on what the lady ravers wear to festivals and raves, guys want to look good, too and have fit in with the festival style, especially at a festival as major as EDC. When deciding what mens rave clothing to wear, consider what we’ve just discussed about the festival: it’s hot, it’s filled with lights and colors, and it’s Vegas, baby! That means that not just any old rave gear will do. In addition to everything you’ll want to pack in order to look and feel your best this festival season, you’re no doubt going to want to hit the clubs while you’re out on the strip. You can find a comprehensive packing list from savormeditation on your cell phone or computer that you use on a daily basis, but you’ll find rave outfit inspiration for guys at EDC below.
The name of the festival fashion game for guys at EDC is neon, neon, and more neon. Bonus points if you’ve got glow-in-the-dark neon in your festival looks! Neon blends in to the “electric” theme of the rave, and the glow-in-the-dark features of your festival outfit will look extra cool against the lights and attractions throughout the festival. These can be included in your bandana, joggers, onesies, or crop top for the ultimate music festival outfit. EDC is all about bright colors and good vibes, so if your festival clothing reflects that, you’ll be good to go.
EDC is not the time to break out your new rave pants. It’s hot, so do yourself a favor and grab a pair of brightly colored shorts, like the String Theory Men’s Athletic Shorts from savormeditation. These brightly colored athletic shorts mimic the neon lights and energy of EDC and are comfortable, breathable, and ultra soft. Bonus points - they have pockets! We’ve even heard rumors that some people wear them to take a dip in those famous Las Vegas pools.
Wear a t-shirt if you’d prefer, but we think you’ll be the most comfortable in a tank top at EDC due to the heat and large crowds. Don't make the mistake of wearing only a hoodie, although it can be good rave wear for night time if it gets cold. Keep the neon and brightly colored theme going here too by choosing a tank with a fun print, glow-in-the-dark details, or bright colors. The Universal Love Glow in the Dark tank is one of our favorites, because black goes with everything.
Waking Dream Mushroom Men's Tank
EDC is an incredible experience, and the festival operates on the PLUR principle - peace, love, unity, and respect. Don’t worry about fitting in - just stay true to yourself and you will! To set your mind at ease, we’ve prepared a few tips for first time EDC attendees.
No matter what you decide to wear or which sets you choose to catch, EDC is a blast whether it's your first time at the festival or your fiftieth. It’s sure to be an experience you won’t forget!
]]>For those still trying to plan hotels, flights, and rental cars, do not fear. There’s still time. The EDC Las Vegas website has options for flights and hotel booking at a discounted rate. You’ll get exclusive headliner-only pricing, free parking at the hotel, and discounted resort fees. All you have to do is put in the dates and the number of people in your group and you’ll get a list of hotels on the strip or close to it.
Allegiant is a proud sponsor of EDC Las Vegas and will give you plenty of options from wherever you are. The two airports that you could fly to are McCarran International Airport and North Las Vegas Airport.

If you’re not camping, the best mode of transportation will be by shuttle or car. For those that choose to Uber, just be aware that it will be very expensive to go to and from the event since it's outside of Las Vegas. For my first EDC, I drove and it was a great experience. Parking is organized and you get in and out fairly quickly.
At EDC Las Vegas 2021, my group and I bought the shuttle passes and they were lifesavers. It was a fun experience going to the event with everyone on the shuttles. We had a miniature pre-party on the way to the event. The only downside is, that if you’re staying until the very last set, you won’t get back to your hotel until about 7:00 or 8:00 a.m. because of the line. Regardless, it was totally worth it.
The shuttle passes have multiple pick-up points from different locations on the strip. The passes are currently sold out, but there is a waitlist. For those who have the shuttle pass, make sure you arrive to your location a little early in case there’s a line and so you have time to go through security.
Last year the shuttles gave out EDC Las Vegas 2021 fanny packs as a souvenir which was awesome. I used it all three days to hold my necessities for easy access. I still use the fanny pack for other events as well. Hopefully, they will have some merchandise for everyone this year!
EDC is not for the weak. It’s an event that is literally from sunset to sunrise, so get ready. The week prior make sure to get eight hours of sleep each night and hydrate. If you go to EDC Week or some pool parties a couple of days before, take it easy. You don’t want to exhaust all your energy before the event starts. Liquid IV, electrolytes, and water will be your best friend during the event. Here are some tips for how to stay healthy at a festival!
If you are scrambling to find outfits last minute, savormeditation has your back. Shop online and pick up your order in-store at the Lux Rave Pop Up at the Luxor hotel throughout the week of EDC and into the weekend. You can even stop by and shop in-store if you want to do that instead! Here is everything you need to know about the Lux Rave pop up shop.

EDC is a magical experience. It’s not just about the music. There are art installations, performers, carnival rides, and downtown EDC. Downtown EDC is where you can find the chapels to get married, a karaoke bar, an open theater, and a silent disco. The most important tip I can give you is to explore. Go to each stage to discover a new favorite artist, walk through the unique shops, admire the art and performers, and build connections with people from all over the world.
EDC has so much to offer, so don’t forget to truly take in the whole experience. The three days will be over before you know it. Don’t forget peace, love, unity, and respect. Look out for one another and have the best time!
Electric Daisy Carnival.
Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas celebrated its 10th birthday in 2021, but it was the 25th EDC Anniversary. Hands down, EDC is the best festival in the country—from the amazing production to the carnival rides—and of course the incredibly diverse lineup—this festival has it all.
EDC was a breath of fresh air during these scary times. Everyone looked incredible and had a special sparkle in their eyes. We waited 2 full years before we could be reunited under the Electric Sky, and it was 100% worth the wait.
Here is my EDC 2021 recap:
Camp EDC was back for its 3rd year, and it looked POPPIN! Camp EDC is a 24 hour camping experience, conveniently placed right outside of the gates of the venue. It has ready-to-go tents, food vendors, a splash pool stage (with its own lineup) & lots of camp activities (like goat yoga). It's definitely the most convenient and efficient way to do EDC. I was truly jealous of all the Snapchats I got from camp, so you bet I won’t miss this again.

EDC Ticket? Worth every penny. Seeing the speedway all light up again? Priceless. The lineup was stacked! We got to cry to Seven Lions, sing with Alesso and headbang with Excision all in one night. We also got to see the youngest person ever perform at the festival, Moore Kismet at age 16! I hope you didn’t miss the surprise Illenium set at The Forest Art Car. We truly were “under the electric sky” during the 600 drone-light show (it was breathtaking) with the legendary fireworks show right after. We finished the night with pizza and learning The Institute of Abraxis. Couldn’t have asked for a better 1st day.

I thought it wasn’t going to get any better, I was so wrong. EDC Night 2 brought the heat! We got blessed with Louis The Child at Cosmic Meadow, Wooli at BassPod & Martin Garrix at Circuit Grounds. Diplo even brought out Lil Nas X as a special guest! It was INSANE! Fun Fact: The only artist to play all 10 years of EDC Las Vegas is Tiësto! This year he played at Kinetic Field. The drone show tonight paid homage to some old stage designs from Kinetic Field’s past: kineticCATHEDRAL, kineticGAIA, kineticLOVE, and kineticENERGY. It was spectacular.

The third night was one I will never forget. I got to see Rezz, Duke Dumont, Slander, and Kygo! I spent this night walking more than the other nights and exploring the art installations, performers and other parts of the venue. According to Insomniac, “This year also featured an expanded festival footprint, utilizing new areas of the venue," and they made great use of every inch. I visited Downtown EDC and got to witness people get legally married. I, of course, watched the final drone show and gawked at the fireworks one last time. Amazing.
Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas is scheduled to happen again in May of 2022. This was my 4th EDCLV and I gave away over 300+ mini plastic babies, walked over 28 miles, saw my favorite DJ’s and witnessed million dollar light shows...I cannot wait to do it all again. Don’t miss out, you can purchase tickets here!
]]>"1. Always bring a tissue pack. Unstocked porta potties are no joke.
2. If you’re driving to/from an event, stock your car with protein filled snacks and water/gatorade for the way home. Keep an emergency bag ready with Advil and anything medical you may need as well as comfy clothes for the way home.
3. Some fests allow you to bring in electrolyte packs for your water. I purchase a new hydration pack bladder every other fest for the reason of turning my water into hydro water.
4. Earplugs are an essential part of rail riding if you care about your hearing AND they’re great for camping at night to turn down the festival noise.
5. Have an escape plan. Always. This may seem trivial but I’ve been left at fests before and had to find my own way home. Sometimes things happen, but it’s better to be prepared."
"Treat each festival like a marathon and NOT a sprint. Take your time, and don’t get down on yourself for missing a set"
"Dude, I'm short. My pro-tip is to stand on the sides of the crowd and not too far in so you'll see better and not have to touch as many people. If I can't see, why am I there? Even in platforms sometimes you just have a group of tall guys right there. Or stand on the inner rails near the sound booth."
"Charged Phone, Meeting Location with a set time, some sort of face covering because some events are dusty!"
"Always put on any glitter while you’re standing in the shower/tub! Don’t wear clothing that can get caught on others in the crowd (I.e. long fringe). Bring zip locks into the festival to put your phone in if the weather gets rainy. After the festival, walk farther away from the grounds or wait some time to get lower Uber/Lyft costs. Shower every day, the amount of dirt you find up your nose will surprise you"
"I have a small flashlight in [my bathroom pack] because the port-a-potties are so dark I can't see. I recently found a small one that's on a key chain that's super bright."
"The first time you go into the port-a-potty, grab a good sized bunch of TP and put it in your fanny pack / backpack for later. Often times you’ll come back again and you’ll be out of luck with toilet paper"
"Get Pedialyte powder and put it in your camel back!"
Response from Andrea:
"Please wash your camel back, the hose, and the mouth piece super well if you do this because it can mold super easily."
"To prevent blisters: Break in your new tough shoes by wrapping them with a towel and pounding out the tough areas with a hammer.
Double layer your socks with fuzzy socks under boots.
And, finally, if you decide last minute that you want to change your outfit plans, or want to pick up a jacket for the cooler EDC nights, check out the Lux Rave pop up shop in the Luxor hotel & casino to shop tons of savormeditation favorites last minute!
]]>The Speedway is pretty far from the Las Vegas Strip. If you're staying in a hotel you're going to need to plan ahead. The festival has a shuttle system which you'll need to buy tickets for if you haven't already. The shuttles are based on where your hotel is, so be careful to get a shuttle ticket for the hotel you're staying in or near. You can get a shuttle pass on the EDC Las Vegas website here.
You can also opt for a ride share like an Uber or a Lyft to and from the festival. It's a bit more expensive but it will likely be more comfortable than having to wait for a bus, and you can bypass the often long and exhausting shuttle lines if you choose to leave the festival alongside everyone else. There's also a helicopter option if you're trying to go all out.
I'd hate to break it to you babes but the weather for EDC Las Vegas 2021 is looking like it will be chilly. Temperatures drop in the desert at night, and the late-October timing of this year's festival means that things are cooling down already. Fortunately there are ways to look cute even in the cold!
Temperatures are expected to get into the low 50's overnight in Las Vegas during EDC weekend. Wear leggings underneath your rave fit or bring a faux fur coat to keep warm under the electric sky.
You can shop warmer clothes here and have them ready for you in Las Vegas at the Lux Rave pop up shop. Just select in-store pickup upon checkout to have your order ready whenever you'd like. The pop up goes through Sunday, so even if you realize halfway through the festival that you'd like to stay warm in style it's an option.
Despite the fact that things are opening up, the pandemic is still raging on. Las Vegas depends entirely on tourism for its local economy and can't afford to have to go back into a shutdown over COVID-19. Do your part to stop the spread of the virus by getting vaccinated and wearing a mask in public or in mass gatherings (pro tip: the mask will also help you stay warm).
Insomniac Events is asking EDC Las Vegas attendees to provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test upon entry to the festival. Printed, digital or physical copies of your vaccine card will be accepted, as well as a photo of your vaccine card.
The state of Nevada requires masks to be worn indoors at large gatherings, meaning you'll have to wear masks inside hotels and casinos. You can shop masks here to be prepared, and pick up your order at the Lux Rave pop up shop.
We can always hope that things have changed, but when tens of thousands of people congregate in a remote spot in the desert we should assume cell towers are going to be busy. Come up with a plan in case you lose your group on where to meet, or schedule meetups ahead of time by deciding on a time and place inside the festival to meet members of your rave fam.
Put the event schedule as your phone lock screen so you don't have to access the internet to check set times, and let any friends or family know you may not have cell service while you're at the festival.
PLUR would mean nothing if we didn't take care of each other. Check in with yourself and your rave fam throughout the weekend to make sure that everyone is ok. Remember that festivals like EDC are a marathon, not a sprint, and to take it easy when you think you need to.
Drink lots of water, eat regular meals, and get rest when you can. Check out our guides on how to stay healthy during a festival, and how to care for your mental health before, during, and after a festival—and don't forget! If you see someone struggling, check in with them even if it's just to offer some water or a friendly hand. We're all in this together.
EDC is huge. For context, there are eight stages and tons of interactive art installments, events and vendors to check out. Don't forget to spend some time checking out the festival throughout the weekend, and use the weekend to check out new artists you didn't think you would get the chance to see. It can be tempting to spend the weekend at your favorite stage, but the festival has so much more to offer.
]]>Here is a list of a handful of events to check out during EDC week in Las Vegas. Don't forget that you can shop the Lux Rave pop up shop featuring savormeditation, INTOTHEAM and Emazing Lights products now through Sunday, October 24. EDC is a marathon, not a sprint. Wearing comfortable shoes will assure that you can see more of the event and spend your night dancing under the Electric Sky, not having to worry about blisters or sore feet. If you plan on wearing new shoes, try to break those shoes in a couple of weeks before the event. Opt for shoes like platforms or sneakers that are cute but useful for walking and standing for hours on end. Don't be afraid to take a break and sit for awhile, but realize that when you're at the Speedway, you're too far from any store to be able to get a new pair of shoes if your feet hurt. Check out the raver shoes at savormeditation, which are designed to keep you comfortable while looking cute.
Treat your wristband like cash. Don't put it on too soon and make sure that you have it with you when you head to Las Vegas for EDC week. Getting your ticket in the mail is exciting, but if you put your wristband on too soon you run the risk of damaging it before the festival even begins.
Staying on or near the strip? Veteran EDC-goers know the nightmare of having to wait for a shuttle at the end of the night (morning?) to get back to their hotel. Budget for a taxi or Uber/Lyft back to your hotel instead of taking the shuttle. The prices vary, but if you carpool with some friends it will bring the price down. You can also stay off the strip, like in an area like Downtown Las Vegas, where the shuttle lines are much shorter.
Once again, EDC is a long haul festival. You're going to be outside, far away from your hotel, for hours on end. When you're coming up with your EDC outfits, think about how you can stay comfortable while looking cute. There's nothing worse than feeling discomfort for the entire night at a festival, so plan ahead by shopping for clothes that are cute and comfortable, and check on the temperature before you finalize your looks to make sure you won't be too cold or too hot. For some EDC 2021 outfit inspiration, check out our blog post here.
Service at the Speedway is pretty bad to begin with, but when you add thousands of people all trying to stay in contact with their friends or post to Instagram, it can be even more unreliable. Plan ahead by making sure you don't need your phone while you're at the venue. Send any important messages and make any important calls before you head to the event, and plan any meetups ahead of time by selecting a time an a place within the festival grounds.
Dancing all night in the desert is going to take a lot out of you. Make sure to stay hydrated while you're at the festival and while you recover in your hotel the next day by eating a healthy meal and drinking lots of water. Taking care of yourself is important, and it's going to mean the difference between having a good time throughout the whole festival and feeling burnt out and exhausted by the end—or worse, getting sick!
If you have multiple bank cards or credit cards, only bring the ones you really need with you to the festival. If you lose your bag or wallet and have everything in it, that can be a disaster when you have to go the rest of the weekend relying on sending Venmo payments to friends every time you want to buy something. Instead of taking your whole wallet, take only one form of payment and your ID while leaving the rest in the safe in your hotel room.
There are lots of guides for what to pack when you head to Vegas for EDC, but when you're heading to the festival itself be sure to pack a festival back inside your hydration pack to stay prepared throughout the whole festival. We recommend packing a face mask, ear plugs, unopened chapstick and gum and even some extra toilet paper just in case. It also might help to bring sunglasses for the ride back to your hotel once the sun comes up in the morning.
Have easy access to the festival schedule all weekend long by making it your lock screen on your phone. We recommend prioritizing sets you absolutely don't want to miss, but don't forget to venture into new territory too. EDC has so much to offer that you don't want to miss, so make sure to check out sets from artists you wouldn't otherwise listen to.
Forget something? Or maybe you just want to check out some of the many cute things that savormeditation has in store for EDC 2021? Be sure to check out the Lux Rave store, a pop up event featuring savormeditation and our sister company, EMazing Lights to grab anything from a whole new fit to some light up gloves for light shows while you're at the festival. The annual pop up event has everything you need to perfect your EDC looks, so stop by before you head to the event or on one of the days leading up to the festival if you plan on arriving early to Vegas. Keep an eye out for information on the 2021 Lux Rave pop up shop in the savormeditation Facebook.
]]>EDC is coming back for 2021 so it's time to start thinking about what to pack for Vegas! I’m sure you’ve probably started planning EDC outfits and have gotten some essentials ready, but it’s always helpful to have a packing list to check off as we approach the event week. I do this every year as it gives me peace of mind and is really helpful the morning you leave for Vegas.
It’s surprisingly easy to forget essentials you can’t pre-pack such as a toothbrush or charger if you’re rushing out the door. I’ve made this packing list to share with you, so don’t stress. See you under the electric sky!
The list includes essentials for both ladies and gentlemen. If any of the items don’t apply, just cross it off or share this list with your rave babe and you will both be well prepared for a great time in Vegas!
Clothes/EDC Outfits
Always pack the outfits you've planned and a little extra just in case. Always check the weather for the weekend beforehand as well. Most rave babes love to plan their looks in advance, but it's a good idea to have a backup look or two if you need to change for the weather or just want to wear something different day-of.

Most importantly, don’t forget the good vibes. There will always be things that don’t go according to plan, but don’t let it ruin your trip. Bring a smile and get ready to have the time of your life!
]]>Staying hydrated is the absolute most important thing at EDC than anything else. You can’t make it to your favorite set without being hydrated! I have lived in Las Vegas for the majority of my life and even I think it's still hot at night during May. I can't stress enough how important it is to stay hydrated. EDC does sell water bottles and water packs, but it's smart to get one before so you don’t have to wait in line and miss a set. savormeditation just got a ton of new Hydration Packs designs, so you can stay hydrated and have a fun accessory for your festival outfit.
Keep it simple. Write down who you CANNOT MISS, who you’d like to see, and who you could see if you have extra time! Stressing over the set times is the biggest thing for most EDC goers. You CANNOT see every single set unless you want to spend 5 mins at each. Plan the ones that are your absolute favorites then work down from there to ensure you see who you really want too. Figuring out which sets are important also helps you figure out when to leave for the night. I always have to see Excision, I never miss his sets!

Visiting the LUX Rave pop-up store at the Luxor is an absolute must. This 10,000sq ft pop shop is the biggest and best during EDC to find all your last minute rave essentials. There are flow art toys, glitter, accessories and tons of outfit options for girls and guys! You can even order online and do in-store pickup if you don't want to pack your rave outfits.
The store also has different events every day, like kandi making with the savormeditation team! Even if you don't want to shop, it's a great experience to just come stop to meet the team or maybe get a light show from your favorite Emazing Lights Glover! I’ll be there for a 3rd year in a row and I won’t be missing it!
UBER and LYFT have carpool options and I can’t stress it enough. It helps more than just your group - it also helps traffic and helps with the parking lot. I highly recommend leaving to the speedway early, even if you don’t have a set to see. If you get there early, you can get on the rides, get water early, get a parking spot near the exit and you can be standing under the shade in the ID line rather than in the sun! If you take your own car, take pictures of where you parked, what is significant around you (light poles, flags, etc.), what lot you are in. If you can drop a pin on your phone, do it. Don’t take the chance of forgetting, it is unforgiving.
Saving your battery to record the very last set at sunrise is great but it's even better when you can find your car, your friends, or a ride home! Don’t be the friend that no one can find because you let your phone die. Get a portable charger, use it and enjoy the whole night full of recorded memories! The best part is looking at what you captured the next morning!
There is a ton of walking at the speedway. There is asphalt, grass, bleachers, stairs, and gravel, so shoes that you're comfortable in are an absolute must! If you're dying to wear those gorgeous platforms that you just bought, I definitely suggest you bring an extra pair to stash in your locker and use them later if you need to. Or, try checking out some rave shoes with less of a heel.
The Electric Daisy Carnival can be overwhelming for a first timer. I suggest mapping out some chill areas before you go. Consider the grass at Cosmic Meadow to sit and relax on or the bleachers where you can take a high seat and enjoy the view. There are even nice areas in front of Art Cars! If you find an empty time slot in your adventures you could make it on a ride! Any of the rides at EDC are a blast. I recommended the hang gliders because it cools you off with an awesome view. Or, try one of the Ferris Wheels to really get an amazing glimpse of EDC!
As many of you can relate, I was absolutely heartbroken when I found out EDC had to be rescheduled. In order to lift my spirits, I thought it would be fun to reminisce about some of the beautiful moments that take place at EDCLV. In this article, you can take a look at some photos from the past decade from ravers around the world and read what their favorite parts about EDCLV are!

“My favorite part of EDC is connecting with all of the creative and caring individuals from around the world. Dancing is a close second 💃 💕” - @elementalfaery
“EDC means home to me. Literally and figuratively; I’m a Las Vegas native and my childhood friend (ZedsDead shirt if you use the pic) took me to my first EDC in 2013. Before then, I had only been to local underground raves in Vegas, I had never experienced a massive yet. It changed my life for the better and reminded me how music touches people and brings them together no matter your race, age, background, sexual orientation, how you look or dress, All truly are welcome there. Thousands call it home and I’m proud for it to have a deeper meaning to me with it happening in my own backyard at the time. EDC also has the most stages, so you can go experience any genre of music and immerse yourself in so many new genres all in one weekend just by walking around if there isn’t a set you were planning to be at” - @scroto_baggins
“EDC isf*cking magical, more magical than Disneyland. It’s the happiest place on earth.”

“EDC means everything to me! Doesn't matter how many years I walk into that speedway I cry because I know that after a year of waiting I'm finally back home. For those 3 days I walk into the speedway the world stops and all my problems disappear. EDC is a place where you leave all your worries behind and you can be yourself finally with no judgment and you're surrounded by people that feel the same as you.” - @makaylaplur
To me, EDCLV is the best festival I have ever been to. It tops all production, all performances and all vibes 100 fold. This is a raver’s Disneyland, and you cannot change my mind. Experience EDCLV one day, you will not regret it. This festival changes lives, and you would be no different. You will not, and cannot, see this whole festival in the three days that you are there. Its pure magic.
In the midst of this crisis, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas will now take place during October 2nd-4th, with Camp EDC opening Thursday, October 1st. Although EDCLV is sold out, you can join the waitlist for an opportunity for a ticket.
Wanna know some facts you probably didn’t know about EDC? Check out my last blog post here.
]]>EDC is short for Electric Daisy Carnival, which just so happens to be the largest electronic dance music festival in North America. It is located in Las Vegas, NV. The three-day event draws more than 400,000 people, making it one of the largest music festivals in the world. In addition to being the largest electronic dance music festival in North America, it’s also one of the most popular; EDC was named “Festival of the Year” at the 2017 Electronic Music Awards.
If you can believe it, the 400,000 person dance party known today as EDC actually started as a warehouse party in Los Angeles in 1997. Today, the festival is more than a music festival; it incorporates carnival themes and attractions, more neon and glowing lights than you even knew existed on the planet, and cutting-edge stage production to push the boundaries of your imagination. The name Electric Daisy Carnival might seem strange at first, but once you attend your first EDC, you’ll realize that there’s no name more appropriate.
The very first EDC premiered in 1997 in Los Angeles, California, and it has continued to grow ever since, requiring changes in location. Today, EDC’s flagship festival is held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, Nevada, and it’s known as EDC Las Vegas. When most people talk about EDC, that’s the festival they’re referring to. However, the event has grown so popular that it has expanded into other cities and to several different countries around the world. Today, the world of EDC festivals are held in the following locations:
EDC Las Vegas is typically held in May, but the COVID-19 pandemic has required some rescheduling on the part of many different festivals, EDC included. This year's event will be held in Las Vegas on October 22-24, 2021 during a special rescheduled date due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The weather for EDC is notoriously hot, and even with the temporary move to October, it’s likely to stay that way, so planning accordingly is important to make sure you have a great (and well-hydrated) time.

EDC is truly a multi-sensory experience in a way that sets it apart from any other festival or rave out there. The festival combines music and art in a way that inspires and excites your senses, with giant three-dimensional structures, glow-in-the-dark areas, and massive lit up plants and animals. There have even been big names in music like Calvin Harris. You’ll also experience carnival performers making their way through the crowds, dazzling you with their talents. Plus, carnival rides abound at EDC. There’s the fast, thrilling, and scary ones, of course, but you’ll also have plenty of options for rides that will help you relax, cool off, and enjoy the atmosphere. There’s truly something for everyone!

Packing for EDC can be a bit overwhelming. After all, this isn’t just some festival out in the middle of nowhere - you’re in Vegas, baby! In addition to everything you’ll want to pack in order to look and feel your best at the festival, you’re no doubt going to want to hit the clubs while you’re out on the strip. You can find a comprehensive packing list from savormeditation on your cell phone or computer that you use on a daily basis, but we’ll hit the high points here, too.
If you’re nervous and excited to attend your first EDC, don’t worry! We’ve all been there, and the festival operates on the PLUR principle - peace, love, unity, and respect. There’s no need to worry about fitting in, because as long as you’re true to yourself, you will. Here are a few tips for first time EDC attendees.
1. Stay hydrated: There’s nothing sexy about getting dehydrated, and if you don’t come to EDC prepared, that’s exactly what will happen. Make sure you bring a hydration pack with you. Yes, they sell water bottles and hydration packs at the festival, but why not bring your own? You can find cute ones that match your outfit on sites like savormeditation.
2. Schedule the sets: There’s a lot happening at EDC, and there’s bound to be a ton of different artists you want to see. Make sure you check out the lineup ahead of time and prioritize which acts are must-sees. You can’t see them all, so it helps to have a plan of attack ahead of time so you’re exactly where you want to be when the beat drops.
3. Visit the LUX Rave Store: Any festival is bound to have some cool pop-up stores, but the LUX Rave pop-up store at the Luxor hotel is a must visit. You’ll find all your last minute rave essentials on hand, and you can even order your outfits online and pick them up when you’re there if you’re trying to pack light.
Lux Rave Pop Up Shop at the Luxor Hotel
4. Carpool if you can: Traffic getting to EDC is going to be crazy, so save yourself some time and stress by carpooling via Uber or Lyft. If you absolutely have to drive to the festival, make sure to take a photo of where you parked (signage, etc) or drop a pin so you can find your spot later. The last thing you’ll want to be doing when you’re exhausted is wandering the parking lots looking for your ride.
Bring a portable charger: You’re undoubtedly going to want to take a ton of pictures and video at your first EDC, and that will suck the battery out of your phone fast. Make sure you bring a portable charger with you so you can juice up on the go. You don’t want to be the friend that no one can find at the end of the night because their phone is dead!
5. Dress for comfort: EDC is a huge festival, which means you’ll be doing a lot of walking in addition to dancing all night long. Make sure your shoes are comfortable - we can’t say that enough! If possible, try to spend a whole day in them ahead of time to make sure that your favorite pair is really what you want on your feet all day every day during the festival. Staying comfortable will make it a lot more fun to dance the night away!
6. Find some time to chill: EDC can be a lot for any rave rookie, and it’s ok to feel overwhelmed. There are plenty of chill areas at the festival that are designed specifically to help you unwind, so don’t be afraid to take advantage of them when you need a break. The rides also offer a great vantage point to take some time away and look out over the festival while still feeling like you’re a part of everything.
Arrive early and get your bearings: If you’re worried about getting lost at the festival or feeling overwhelmed, try to get there early for the first day. You’ll have more space to walk around the grounds and get your bearings, plus you’ll have a lot fewer people in all of your pictures.
Whether you’ll be attending your first EDC or your fifteenth in 2021, you’re bound to have a blast out there amongst all those good vibes. No matter what you decide to wear or which sets you choose to catch, just be yourself and let the good times roll! And of course, don’t forget to hydrate and get plenty of sleep - you’ll need it!

4. EDCLV has over 8 Stages!
EDC is known for its massive stages, and there are 8 of them. kineticFIELD, cosmicMEADOW, circuitGROUNDS, neonGARDEN, the list goes on. The “Kinetic Cathedral” was the largest stage structure to be built in North America, at over 440 feet long it was longer than a football field and wider than The Statue of Liberty. (source)
Don't overlook the art car stages, they may not be kinecticFIELD but they have just as much energy all night long. If you're in the right place at the right time, it may just make your entire night, like when Kaskade electrified the kalliopeARTCAR with a secret REDUX set while not even on the line-up.

5. Since 2011, EDCLV has had over 3,450,000 Attendees

6. Over 2.5 Million sq feet of turf was used for Camp EDC 2019
Only introduced a few years ago, CampEDC has truly become a staple for your EDCLV journey. Thousands come together and create a mini-community within EDCLV. Insomniac knows how to glamp, they create an oasis under the electric sky by providing reflective tents (pre set up), stages just for CampEDC, pools, and baby goats! All this and more sits on 2.5million sq ft of turf to make your nights in the desert one you won't forget. (source)

Here is the map from last year, as you can see it’s massive. All info on camping can be found here.

Over the course of the three days at EDC, you will not see everything, I promise -but that's what makes it worth coming back year after year! I also promise that you will see thousands of like-minded individuals gathered in one place, doing exactly what they love to do.
This environment cannot be replicated, due to the crazy amount of performers walking around, art exhibits to explore and music to be heard. EDCLV is, and will always be, the move.

There are Art Cars to check out, some big names play at them usually in secret. You can follow them around and get more a personal show. They are blast to be around. There are plenty of new artists that will be at EDC but there are a few oldies showing up that cannot be pointed out! David Guetta hasn’t been to EDC since 2012 and Skream! Is playing an OLD SKOOL dubstep B2B with Rusko that is definitely two sets that will be jammed with people. If you didn’t know actor Idris Elba was a longtime DJ then you should go see his set! Bill Nye isn’t djing, at least we don’t think so, but he will be apart of the Opening Ceremonies!
Don’t forget about EDC Week, full of shows, pool parties, after parties, and pre-parties. If you have spare time get your tickets to one of these parties to have a great time in the sun but don’t forget sunscreen! For more pro tips, check out my article, Tips for Attending EDC. And - if you need inspo on what to wear, check out the official savormeditation EDC Outfits Guide. See you under the Electric Sky!

Red Daisy: Camping
Any advice I can give would be is treat this camping experience like any other one. There are plenty of options for camping, tents or RVs, choose based on your group. Bigger is better for camping festivals because it stays at a party when there are a lot of people. It may stay hot even through the night but the campsites are created to help with that. Bring sunscreen, snacks, bring lots of water to your site, and don’t forget your sleeping bag. Be sure to check out this EDC camping list for inspo about how to start packing!

Orange Daisy: Carpool/Uber/Lyft/PinPoint
Carpool with friends or use Uber/Lyft. Trust me when I tell you carpooling is the best thing for your EDC experience especially if you plan on having extra fun. It is the safest thing for you and your squad. Benefits to carpooling are having travel buddies to pump you up on the way to EDC through the traffic and to enjoy the sunrise on the way back to the hotel. If you are taking your own car I suggest leaving early as parking does fill up quickly or buying a parking pass. I highly recommend pinpointing on your phone or taking pictures of where your car is. If you haven’t been to the motor speedway at 5:30am, every light pole and fence looks like the one you parked near. Check for the name of the lot as well as entrances /exits you go through to get to your car.
Yellow Daisy: Battery Life = FULL
Buy a portable charger, charge your phone, and CHARGE THE PORTABLE CHARGER. I can’t stress enough trying to keep your phone a little alive by the time EDC is over. You won’t be able to find your car, your friends, or call an uber/lyft if YOUR PHONE IS DEAD because you were too busy trying to Snapchat every set you saw. Be smart, put it on low power mode, and try to keep it long enough to get home safe. You can also rent a locker with a portable charger!
savormeditation has tons of Cute & fuzzy portable chargers like these!
Green Daisy: Take breaks and wear comfy shoes
Shoes can make or break a great outfit, as well as, a festival. If you're looking for some cute rave shoes that are also comfy, savormeditation offers tons of glittery & fun sneakers. They also offer tons of Platforms, but be careful about making the commitment to wearing these all weekend long! I recommend bringing a backup pair of shoes and renting a locker to stash them in, just in case your feet get tired! Also, pro tip: invest in a pair of shoe insoles to make your platforms even comfier! Whatever type of shoe you choose, make sure your shoes are comfy and can withstand all the walking you will do in the speedway. All the walking you’ll be doing will take a toll on your shoes, feet and body so TAKE BREAKS. Take a seat in the bleachers, or go sit in the grass at Cosmic Meadow, or buy a flag to sit on the concrete at whatever stage you are camped at but take a seat and relax. Buy a “BIG B*TCH FAN” to keep yourself cool. You could even go on a ride, preferably one in which you are sitting. There are multiple rides so take your pick and enjoy your break.
The Ferris Wheel is a great place to take a break when your feet need a break! Photo Credit: EDC/Insomniac Events
Blue Daisy: Stay Hydrated
This daisy is obviously the most important one. Even though EDC is no longer in June, it still has the chance to get in the high 100s. PLEASE STAY HYDRATED. Buy a hydration pack or water bottle to refill. Even if you think you have drunk enough water, you probably need to drink more. Although, always be careful not to over-do it! Do a good deed and buy someone a water bottle that needs it or even someone who doesn’t. You could even drink a Gatorade, just stay hydrated. There are free water stations you can fill up as well don’t forget about those. Pro tip: buy some Gatorade packets that are sealed so you can bring them inside the festival and change your water from ordinary to extraordinary!
I HIGHLY recommend investing in a hydration pack - they came in tons of cute styles and colors to match your outfit!
Purple Daisy: Schedule Sets
Schedule out meeting spots, when to park and when to pregame can only happen if you schedule out who you will see and when. Make sure to prioritize which sets are NOT MISS sets and which ones you can explore everything EDC offers. There is more to EDC than just your favorite DJ playing at a stage. You can only experience EDC if you plan correctly, even if you are WINGING it you still plan on who you are seeing at 7PM. Pro tip: Write your favorite sets in an Excel sheet and screenshot the sheet to save as your phone lock screen!
I'm not joking when I say that EDC is huge! Setting meet-up spots with your squad is crucial! Photo Credit: EDC/Insomniac Events
Pink Daisy: Visit the LUX Rave Pop up Shop
The LUX Rave pop up shop offers 20,000 sq ft of last minute festival shopping! If you haven’t gotten a chance to go this would be the year to! Tons of flow art toys, glitter, accessories and more outfit options for girls and guys! Don’t forget to order online and do in-store pickup if you don't want to pack all your rave items or pay for shipping. Every day there is a new event for you to check out! If you're looking for EDC outfit inspiration, savormeditation has you covered!
Rainbow Daisy: Using P.L.U.R.
This is my favorite daisy, throughout your EDC week or weekend, depending on how long you choose to rage, PLEASE USE P.L.U.R. every single second! We are all trying to have the best experience and if we all spread Peace, Love, Unity, & Respect throughout our EDC time we make our adventures that much better. I try my hardest to use it before, during and after EDC (even in the parking lot)
I hope my daisies are helpful and I hope that when you see them throughout EDC you will remember them! Have a blast and stay safe! Meet you under the electric sky!
]]>Personally, I decided to try out some new and bigger events next year that I hadn’t had the chance to attend in the past. One of these events that I had been strongly considering was EDC Mexico. EDC Las Vegas was my first electronic festival and remains my favorite to this day, and I’ve always wanted to try attending an EDC in another country. Then, Insomniac and OCESA released the jaw-dropping EDC Mexico lineup this week, and I knew this festival had to be one of my next stops!
The lineup includes big-name acts like Kaskade, Alesso and Skrillex. It has a lot for the house lovers: Justin Martin, Chris Lake, Brohug, Loud Luxury, and more. There’s also a little something for our #TranceFam on this lineup: Aly & Fila, Paul Van Dyk, and Simon Patterson to name a few. But don’t worry bassheads, there is more than enough for you too. Dubstep and trap heavyweights like Excision, RL Grime, Spag Heddy, Riot Ten, Rezz, and more made the cut this year and are sure to bring the bassline to Mexico City.

EDC Mexico 2019 will take place on Saturday, February 23rd and Sunday, February 24th, returning to Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City. This will be the sixth year return of EDC Mexico - offering another year of a vacation destination for headliners across the globe. The stages this year will include kineticFIELD, circuitGROUNDS, neonGARDEN, wasteLAND, Dos Equis Stage, and stereoBLOOM. There will also be lots of art installations and performers to take the fun beyond just the music. And of course, the Electric Daisy Carnival experience is still, well a carnival, so we can be sure to expect lots of fun rides to enhance the weekend even further.
As you’re planning your 2019 festival schedule, I would highly suggest considering making this year’s EDC Mexico a priority. So what’re you waiting for? Grab your tickets and let’s get crazy.
Then I saw the sunrise two nights in a row. And I regret nothing.
Truly I still didn’t go “hard” I’d say, I only attended the festival on Friday and Saturday because I couldn’t take off another day of work to go Sunday night. This way I also gave myself some time Sunday to recover. I am still a little in shock of how late I stayed up each night, how time just flew by and all of a sudden it was 4:30 am.
EDC is an absolutely crazy place. I’m struggling with how to explain it exactly… if you like to party, this is the event. There’s so much going on, there are lights on everything and music coming from every angle. It’s a carnival for adults with rides and alcohol and costumes.
Insomniac is the best at throwing big production raves in my opinion. Their events are a combo of Disneyland-meets-Cirque-du-Soleil — two of my favorite things. My favorite part though of any event is getting ready, and you can see at Insomniac shows this is a lot of other people’s favorite part as well. We get to be creative and be colorful and just have fun.
We left for the festival around 6pm and it didn’t take us too long to get there. We had some fun moments in traffic with other headliners as we approached the event. At one point we almost missed a turn and had to cut in, and the other car said we only could if I (the passenger) did a shot with them. We “cheer” sd from our cars and they let us in. A couple minutes later we ended up next to them in some stopped traffic and I popped out to trade kandi really quick. It was hilarious because everyone was yelling from the other cars cheering us on. I live for these vibes.
I went with one friend to EDC, Rob (@PinkyPinkston on Instagram) this year. Rob’s great because he’s always down for whatever and we have a lot of fun together. He doesn’t mind if I lose him for a bit to take photos and stuff. Plus it’s always nice to go with a guy just to feel safe.
Once we got to the festival we took the route that leads you down the bleachers, where you get a full view of the whole racetrack as you walk in. This is my third time to EDC and my first time ever walking in this way, and I’m so glad I finally got the chance to! It’s one of those moments people always talk about, and I felt like I’d missed out so much before.
They give you a few moments to take a photo then make you go down all the way. It’s pretty cool to see the WHOLE event from that view.
Once inside we had tons to explore. Seven main stages, art cars, rides, interactive art pieces, sponsored interactive areas and so many people to meet. I feel like every step you take at EDC you’re meeting someone new. People just love to talk to new people here!
Friday night, and I’m not totally sure how it happened, but I ended up meeting this group who had these cool bikes they were riding around the festival. They invited me to join them so we rode around and even went behind the stages to ride on the racetrack!
That whole night flew by, Kaskade’s set was amazing, per usual, and that was about when I realized that I TOTALLY lost Rob so I struggled with failed texts then finally found him. We danced through a few more areas then made our way back to the exit. On the way there we found this awesome art piece that had a LED ceiling and was playing classical music. Everyone was just laying underneath it relaxing. I knew one of the songs and busted out some ballet moves which ended with a round of applause from everyone there. What a moment.
We headed home, made it out of the parking lot really easy at 4 am and went to bed.
Saturday AM I pretty much felt like I couldn’t do this another day, but we rallied and headed to the pool to relax. After spending some time in the sun and eating some lunch I decided it was nap time, so we did a 2-hour nap before it was time to get ready for day 2.
On Saturday, I wore a mix of pieces from “old” outfits I’ve worn to raves. The top I actually wore to my very first EDC back in 2014. I liked this look a lot because it was one that I really couldn’t see myself wearing to any other event besides an Insomniac one. There’s definitely a look and feel to EDC that’s different than say Coachella or Lightning in a Bottle. As someone who loves fashion, I love that I get to dress uniquely to each of these events!
Saturday we left the hotel a little earlier, more around 5pm and had no traffic getting in. It was nice to see the festival grounds with some daylight before the sunset. I liked being able to take a lot of photos during magic hour as well!
We had VIP access passes so Saturday we spent a lot of time checking out the VIP areas. At EDC these are over the top with so much more to do and see. One area had arcade games, and another allowed us to go backstage behind the DJ booth!
We also saw a pool and even a ball pit which to play in. Inside one of the VIP tents, we found two people with typewriters offering free haikus. Mine said:
On the runway and
In the crowd she knows both sides
An aerial view
I really loved seeing the crowd from the Quantum Valley VIP area best, and it was here that we watched the fireworks Saturday night.
Each night the fireworks at EDC are something else, they’re over the top and a perfect addition to an electrified night. I had these awesome glasses they were giving out at the Smirnoff Experience that changed the light into little hearts, and watching the fireworks with these was so cool.
As we were leaving for the night I turned back to look at the grounds one last time and could not believe I was watching the sun come up over the mountains. Time flies when you’re having fun.
We got to our car and it took us roughly an hour to get out of the parking lot this night. The traffic flow out was terrible, the only way we were able to get out was to weave through parking rows.
We ended up driving home Sunday am, which gave me a little FOMO for day 3 but I had to be realistic, Lightning in a Bottle is my favorite event of the year so I needed to rest for a few days so that I can live it up there.
EDC was an amazing time though. I got to meet a lot of awesome people and dance for hours and hours. I just love how late EDC goes when most of our big production raves end at 2 am. According to my health tracker, I climbed 9 floors each night of EDC with the number of steps I took. This equaled roughly 10 miles each night. You’ll all be happy to know I didn’t even have to break out my knee brace once this weekend :) I was taking it easy!!!
Well that was a super long recap, and there’s still a lot I didn’t cover, but I’ll share little bits as I go with photos I post of people’s outfits. So be sure to watch as I share them all with you! I’m glad I decided to go to EDC, sometimes the last minute decisions are worth it!
All photos were taken by @FestFashionsCamp EDC offers two choices for tent camping: Moon Glow and Desert Rose, each with the capacity of up to four or up to two campers, respectively. If you’re staying at Desert Rose, the checklist below should be modified to remove all bedding essentials as you already have a proper bed, linens, and pillows ready for you, the perfect option for out of state campers!
In my camping experience, I’ve found this list to be incredibly essential to not only having an amazing time but staying healthy and hydrated during all the excitement that is EDC!
Remember to stay cool, stay hydrated, but have a blast!! Be safe while under the Electric Sky and look out for one another! Here’s to an awesome camping experience at Camp EDC!!!
