Did you know the Goldrush theme expands in concept every year? This year’s festival theme was surrounded by entertainment, more specifically gambling and partying from the gold rush era. Goldrush: Wild Card was then given life with a fire-red poker theme and casino royale glamor!
New and improved stage production matched the demand of an opulent theme. LED dice art installations connected to the main stage and synced to the colors of the lasers. Elevated VIP areas included expanded areas and larger than life-sized playing cards scattered in the Platinum Lounge. The mountain at The Moonrise Mountain Stage displayed visuals as if it was an official stage; every minute detail of production went all-in at this Goldrush casino.

Goldrush, year after year, grows distinguished in its lineup curation offering a juggernaut experience worthy of a return. Making their first special B2B debut was INZO B2B Mersiv which was seen at Goldrush before any other festival! INZO wore a black bandana around his neck and a cowboy hat with purple fringe as he performed–can it get any more Goldrush than that?
On day 1 at The Paradise Prairie Stage, Timmy Trumpet performed a set special enough to hold your heart with laughter. Timmy Trumpet danced and pretended he was riding an inflatable trumpet like a car! Then, he played a real trumpet live which felt surreal if you didn’t see him exchange one for the other. To my surprise and many others, he mixed Adele’s “Someone Like You” which led to the end of his set. Before leaving the stage, he shared some blunt wisdom with the crowd, “Love is the answer and it always f***ing will be”.
A crafted lineup so special, you had to choose one artist or the other. Black Tiger Sex Machine: The Anime Show was happening at the same time as ACRAZE B2B Noizu. Stage-hopping for this first world raver problem will always be a pro-tip!

From Ray Volpe mixing Justin Bieber’s “Beauty and a Beat” to San Pacho playing drum and bass for his encore, unexpected moments unfolded with every performance. At the Moonrise Mountain Stage, OG NIXIN not only played his signature riddim but shared with the crowd new music from his unnamed side project for half of his performance. Even though his unreleased music sounded nothing like hardcore riddim, the crowd loved it.
Meanwhile at the Coyote Cove, Walker & Royce brought the heat to the dance floor as expected, but the visuals made some smile and do a double-take. Visuals began as a man and woman dancing on top of a car hood and roof, then it displayed the four penguins from Madagascar dancing perfectly to the beat.
Have there been weirder visuals? Of course, but even taking a gamble with goofy visuals is an artistic risk appreciated by many! OMNOM played “By Myself” and 15-20 minutes past his set because Mall Grab arrived late. For OMNOM fans like myself, it was a happy surprise.
Experimental but exclusive to Arizona was Sullivan King’s praise and introductory visuals during his performance. Sullivan King filmed his own special introductory visuals to commemorate he’s back in Arizona with a voiceover made exclusively just for Goldrush. “Phoenix, it’s been three years since we’ve reunited with the dubstep daddio and Phoenix knows how to party from the waste management open to ASU–sorry U of A, you got catching up to do”. With special visuals specifically dedicated for this crowd, Arizona seems to hold a special place in Sullivan King’s heart.
Sullivan King played guitar on stage then threw it to a stage production member like it was a baseball before bringing Ray Volpe on stage to dance to new music they made together. Groups of gold-bikini wearing girl gangs headbanged in unison (holding the tips of their hats) to his new unreleased track featuring NGHTMRE and Grabbitz.

As the Goldrush theme expands with each passing year, the fashion continues to develop its A-Game. Attendees dressed in no shortage of cowboy boots/hats, fringe, and bandanas per usual. Ace-X accessories for this A-Game included fringe harness belts and silver or turquoise medallion belts. Since looking like a cowboy/girl in this Sonoran sky wasn’t the only option, wearing gold or glitter made attendees look good enough to be enamored like a piece of gold.
The Weird and Wonderful Cast performers were scattered throughout the festival wearing head-to-toe denim outfits and carrying poker tables connected to their casino royale-inspired costumes.
You could be walking in the VIP lounge when a casual human-poker table offers you to play. Even though the fashion grows more experimental with each theme, the timeless cow onesie never grows old on this Southwest dance floor.

After the final performances of each night, Coyote Cove became the life line for the afterparties until 5am. It didn’t matter if you were a headbanger or a house-loving hottie because the afterparty lineup was curated for either subgenre. If you missed a performance from either of these headliners, the afterparty was a guaranteed way of catching up!
Day 1 presented Sullivan King with support from Dark Mark. On day 2, AC Slater started his performance mixing “Once in a LIfetime” by Talking Heads which felt like a nod and secret handshake to his musical influences. After, he featured new hits “Pump” featuring Chris Lorenzo, “Lights On”, and “Brain on Drugs” before FAIRYDVST ended the weekend.

This year, V2 Presents is working with other local promoters to create a third stage at the Ranger Sound Car, which will bring a whole new vibe to the festival. With over 50 acts lined up across three stages, your Halloween weekend will be stacked with top-tier performances. Check out the lineup below and grab tickets here
Hosted at the Utah State Fairpark from October 25th to 27th, Get Freaky is set to return to this iconic venue after a last-minute move there in 2023. Conveniently located in Salt Lake City, the Fairpark is easily accessible whether you’re a local or traveling from out of town. If you're flying in, Salt Lake City International Airport is just a quick ride away.
The venue change from The Great Saltair to the Fairpark means that taking an Uber or Lyft from downtown or elsewhere in the valley is no problem. You can also take Trax to the venue, making it even more convenient and affordable to get there.
Get Freaky is a Halloween festival, so plan to wear your costumes! Remember to keep it comfortable, though; you'll be dancing for hours. Layers are your friend, as Salt Lake can get chilly at night, especially in October.
Don’t forget comfy shoes, breathable outfits, and a hydration pack to stay fueled for the night. And of course, be ready to glow and shine with rave accessories like LED gloves, glitter, and face gems!

The event will take place from October 24-27th in Live Oak, Florida. Tickets are almost sold out, so grab yours here and get ready for the best weekend of your life!
Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is a venue unlike any other. Located on the Suwannee River, this campground lives and breathes Florida. With spooky Spanish Moss draped from the trees like mystical curtains, and big swamp energy infused into every path, there truly isn’t a more fitting venue for a Halloween-themed festival. The grounds are magical.
Enjoy the shade within the woods or cool off from the daytime heat in the river. See if you can find the treehouse! And if you need a dose of Halloween vibes, check out the bat house at dusk. If you need to buy ice or other camping goods, the General Store has you covered.
Hulaween has multiple stages and areas to explore, so come with an open mind and be prepared for adventure. Spirit Lake is the place to be at night! There, you’ll explore out-of-this-world art installations that will blow your mind.
Bring your card or cash with you when you explore because there are amazing vendors at Hula, from delicious food to heady apparel and accessories, art, and more.
Festival camping goes a little differently here than at other festivals. Rather than being placed in a camping spot by staff, you have complete free range to find your own campsite within the grounds once you drive through the gates.
Because camping is first come, first serve, many people choose to arrive early and stake out a spot for their squad. Don’t panic, though! If you’re planning to arrive on Thursday, you will still be able to find a great spot. Just have patience, as it may take a few laps of driving around the park to situate yourself.
Pro tip: I always prefer camping in the woods because you get shade in the mornings and throughout the day, which means more time spent sleeping in or taking disco naps. Getting good rest is key to an enjoyable camping fest experience! If you think you may end up in a sunny camping spot, bring a pop-up canopy for shade.
If you purchased a car pass, you can park your car next to your tent at your campsite. I highly recommend this, although there are parking options on-site for your vehicle if you choose not to buy a car pass.
You will notice golf carts zipping around the grounds during the festival. If you’re planning to drive a golf cart at the fest, contact the park to verify that it will be permitted before you arrive. You will need proper reservations and paperwork.
Some people bring bicycles, one-wheels, or motorized bikes/skateboards to the park, but they are certainly not necessary to get around. It can be super fun to take a morning bike ride through the campsites, though.
One of the coolest things about Hulaween is that, weather permitting, you can have campfires at your campsite! We have had some very chilly Hulaweens in the past, and having firewood to build a campfire has been a lifesaver. There’s nothing better than huddling around the fire with your friends or, better yet, making s’mores at camp! I recommend bringing a fire pit and firewood if the weather allows for campfires. If a burn ban is necessary due to weather or other conditions, the park will tell you not to burn anything.
Like most camping festivals, come prepared with nutritious meals and snacks, a cooler with ice, and plenty of water to keep you hydrated. Packing a first-aid kit is always a smart idea.
Pro tip: bring your favorite craft brews to Camp Reddit if you’re interested in a craft beer exchange and their infamous bacon pancakes.
We have had Hulaweens that were blazing hot and Hulaweens that were freezing cold. The best advice I have for Hula and any camping festival is to come prepared for any climate - heat, cold, rain, or dust. The best plan is to pack outfits in layers so you can adjust your look depending on the weather. During the day, you can typically expect hot Florida sunshine. But as the sun goes down, it can get anywhere from chilly to frigid.
I keep my outfits pre-planned in sealable bags to reach into my duffel and pull out a fresh outfit, already picked out and ready to go. Make sure you keep an outfit sealed to drive home in so you have fresh clothes as you make the journey home.
Here is my basic list of camping festival clothes and must-haves:
Since Hula is over Halloween weekend, many people dress up in fun costumes. This year’s theme is Suwannee Horror Disco Show, so if that theme speaks to you, dress for it! Especially for the themed String Cheese set on Saturday night.
I typically bring a few costumes but don’t forget comfortable outfits, as well. If you’re into sustainable shopping, check out your local thrift store for costumes or better yet - ask your friends if they have any costumes you can borrow.
Explore all the Halloween costume options from savormeditation here.
Always make a stop back at camp before dinner to fuel your body with some nutritious food, load up on water, and grab anything you might need for a night of fun. The walk from the stages to the campgrounds typically isn’t too far, but if you have back-to-back sets planned, it’s best to have everything you may need on your person.
Pro tip: grab a flashlight from your campsite as the day turns to night. There are tons of tree roots along the paths in the campgrounds that are prime for tripping over, so watch out.
Throw on sleeves like these over a cropped tank top if you start to get chilly but aren’t ready to change out of your daytime fit just yet.
dark arts mesh bell sleeve ultra crop top
Chaps, like these, are a great middle ground between shorts and pants - especially if you want to show off that rave booty!
Nocturnal Nature Fishnet Chaps
iHR has some great outerwear options to keep you in style, even if the weather gets chilly.
Hulaween is a whirlwind of mind-melting music and art. It’s my all-time favorite festival because the vibes are simply unparalleled. You’ll see for yourself!
Expect nothing, but stay open to anything. Keep an open mind, be prepared, practice patience, stay hydrated, and get ready for the time of your life!

]]>Often when people find something good they try to gatekeep it. I understand the sentiment; they want to protect their precious, good thing from the world as a way to preserve it. They want to enjoy it, unobstructed, for as long as possible. What if the word gets out too much? What if that thing gets overexposed and ruined? Believe me, I get it.
That's not me though.
I do the opposite of gatekeeping. That is to say; when I find something I love, I won't shut up about it until everyone sees what I see in it. As someone who has been going to Das Energi since its first year in 2012—back when it was a little single-day rave in a dilapidated warehouse on the beach—I am happy to announce that my and everyone else's reverse-gatekeeping has finally paid off.
It appears the secret is out. There has been an electrical surge. Das Energi is on. fire.
@chatterzphoto
Das Energi has grown significantly each year throughout the last decade. Every edition of the festival brings with it a better lineup, more art installments, more festival grounds to explore, better food, and bigger stages. The growth hasn't been linear or perfect, but it has been consistent and it does show the passion and dedication behind its organizers at V2 Presents. These people just really love raving, and they want you to love it too.
The vibe at this year's Das Energi was unlike any year in the past. With a massive upgrade to its main stage, V2 came prepared with a lineup, a new set of very large speakers, and a dream. The music was loud—like, louder than anything I've ever experienced in my life, shake you to your core from the back of the crowd loud. I've been raving around the world for over a decade, and the sheer volume of Das Energi was a feat.
@chatterzphoto
Combine that volume with walls of LED lights that stood high into the sky, lasers, and pyrotechnics that you could feel from across the parking lot, and you've got the recipe for a legendary party. I can say that for sure, because Pasquale even said he was impressed on his Instagram story after spending the weekend dancing with ravers in the GA crowd.
If there's one person who knows a good party, it's the founder of EDC. If a legend says the party is good, then the party is legendary. I call that raver math.
The crowd loved it. Down on the beach at the Galactic Flats, people could chill out in hammocks hanging from an art installment that shot a laser straight up into the sky, or rage within the LED pillars of a temple-esque dancefloor. Lasers stretched out into the dark abyss of the Great Salt Lake after sundown, but during sunset was the perfect time to make some core memories with your rave family against the backdrop of the expansive desert lake. I've seen couples get engaged here, so it's seriously the spot to be. Lives change on that beach.
@chatterzphoto
Up at the Energi Field mainstage, a massive crowd of people seemed to be having the time of their lives head-banging in unison as the V2 Performers, Das Energi's version of the Ultra Angels, danced onstage in custom Das Energi fabric. Even security was vibing by the end of each night.
In 2024 we're genre-fluid. What I loved about the lineup and stage schedule at Das Energi this year was that there wasn't a dedicated spot for any single genre. You could catch a harder techno set at the Galactic Flats stage from Cassian b2b Layton Giordani just before Gorgon City came onstage and toned it down with more of a house vibe. I'm hesitant to name any genre, though, because none of the DJs throughout the weekend seemed to stick to any single style—and also because I don't care and neither should you. I even heard a hardcore remix of a Taylor Swift song at one point, which the crowd loved.
@chatterzphoto
The thing about Utah is that it's a smaller market, and I've noticed that trends from other cities can take a couple of years to catch on here. Over the years I've grown to appreciate that because there will always be some level of consistency in the headliners at Das Energi with a little bit of experimenting in the smaller acts. Above & Beyond, Rezz, Fury, Walker & Royce and Adventure Club are, at this point, classics that can grace any lineup and bring in a massive crowd—especially here in Utah.
This year people turned out early to catch the rising acts that built the vibe throughout the weekend. Some of my favorite sets throughout the festival came from acts like Tinykvt, who smashed Energi Field just before sunset with a set that featured her live vocals. I arrived just in time on Friday to catch the end of Kaleena Zanders' set, which set the bar high for the rest of the house music throughout the night.
Photo: Matt Dippel
Das Energi's lineup of local support was stacked, too, with local legends like Nate Lowpass and Z AND Z kicking it off on Friday. On Saturday I caught some of Sarah Lies' set at Galactic Flats, which brought the Bratz doll energy I was waiting for with some pop hits, house music, and cute graphics for the girlypops. "She's going to make it big," I heard someone say as she walked off the stage when her set ended. Trust them.
V2 Presents is a family business. Partly because its organizers are a rave family of their own, but also quite literally. Co-founder Jeremy Moreland's son Jayden, also known as JR Destrukt, took the indoor Synergy Station stage on Saturday evening to set the vibe for a killer night of drum and bass with SLC DNB.
@chatterzphoto
In the future I would love to see even more genre-fluidity at Das Energi, and maybe even some experimenting with a pop/electronic act or some hyperpop to draw in an entirely new crowd. I am anti genre. I refuse to learn the difference between house and tech house. I love when pop stars make drum and bass. I love it all and I want to see it all from the comfort of my local festival.
I should disclose that the organizers of Das Energi over at V2 Presents have become dear friends of mine after all these years. However, my proximity to the organizers does not cloud my judgement—Das Energi really has become that good. It's no secret anymore. You don't need to look at a budding festival and think "I see the vision," because the vision has come to fruition.
@chatterzphoto
Checking out social media in the days after Das Energi, I've seen dozens of posts from attendees who loved every minute of the event—from the art installments to the music, the local food trucks, and just the overall vibe. I've seen baby ravers share that this was their first rave and I've seen veteran, out of state ravers (again, I need to name drop Pasquale) declare that Utah is on the map.
For a festival that takes place within a state and local religious culture that has actively stifled and vilified the electronic music industry for decades, it feels like an even bigger accomplishment to not just throw a good party here, but to make everyone feel safe and welcome on the dancefloor. Raving is about more than just partying—it's culture.
At one point throughout the weekend I had a moment where I looked at the new, massive stage production and thought "damn, they really made it." It's cool to see your friends become rockstars. They've more than earned it.
@chatterzphoto

]]>Sunshine, salty breeze, and Space Yacht’s secret lineup form one of the most iconic EDM-related events at sea and in Southern California. Calling all sailors and sea cadets aboard for Space Yacht’s last boat party of 2024!
Sailors, sirens, and this lineup have one thing in common: secrets. Year after year, this lineup remains a secret and still manages to sell-out! Naturally, this year’s boat party lineup is also a secret. Previous surprise guests include Walker & Royce, OMNOM, and Ranger Trucco.
Sailors can expect a thrilling, excitement-of-the-unknown experience this year and for years to come! If you love secret lineups, this is an event curated for EDM-enthusiasts like you in mind!
Tickets start at $60 and prices increase with every tier which are almost sold-out! The boat party is located at Catalina Classic Cruises next to The Queen Mary. If you don’t reside in California already, the closest major airport to the event is the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).
Since Long Beach is near Los Angeles, it’s your personal preference whether you would like to book a nearby hotel in Long Beach or Los Angeles. The nearest hotel to the event is The Queen Mary, but it’s actually rumored to be haunted. Other than that, there are no official shuttles; rideshare services are your best option traveling to and from the event.
SUNSCREEN! The goal is to stay sunburn-free, Sailors! This four-hour boat party requires sunscreen, extra clothing (for the colder temps at sea), and tools you may need to eliminate motion sickness.
A small purse containing your ID and cash among other necessities is fine to bring. It’s a good idea to come prepared wearing a hat and sunglasses. As always, don’t be shy and bring some kandi to spread a sprinkle of PLUR to other sailors.
Why would the party stop at sea, Sailors? After docking at 8pm, the afterparty known as Night Temple starts at 9pm at Loft on Pine, a former masonic temple in historic downtown Long Beach. Two stages are designed for variety: house/techno at one stage and bass at the other.
This is also a secret lineup just like the boat party; expect the element of surprise to keep going! Although, sailors were given one hint: a Grammy-nominated UK producer in the main room. Conveniently, Loft on Pine is only a five-minute ride from the dock. Buy your afterparty tickets for only $30 now!
]]>The lineup this year is one for the books. Check out the lineup below and be sure to grab tickets before it sells out.
Tickets for the event range from two days to single-day passes. Two-day general admission passes start at €149.99. Single-day general admission passes for Saturday are €99.99, whereas Sunday general admission starts at €79.99. Shuttle passes are available for purchase as well and start at €35.00. Camping passes are currently sold out.
For those in need of hotel rooms, don’t worry. Insomniac has partnered with dozens of hotels in the area to give you exclusive headliner-only pricing and discounted resort fees. If you are driving to the event, there is free general parking next to Glen Helen Park. Get tickets to Nocturnal Wonderland here.
Insomniac’s goal with each festival is to spread positivity and love. It’s important to remember the values of rave culture that bring us closer together. The Headliner’s Handbook is a great tool for some tips for beginner ravers. It also reminds veterans of why PLUR is so important. Some key takeaways from the handbook are always to be a headliner, spread love, respect the space, ignite positivity, embrace the true you, care for one another, be open to experience, and keep the beat going. We are all here for our love for music, so it’s essential to look out for another spread peace, love, unity, and respect.
savormeditation has many new arrivals and styles to help make your weekend even better. San Bernardino might get a little chilly when the night falls so be prepared and bring your pashmina and sweatshirt or jacket to keep you warm. Don’t forget to accessorize with glitter, chains, necklaces, hats, and sunglasses. savormeditation has so many options to choose from for each type of style. Here are some outfit ideas to make the decision process a little easier.
]]>Insomniac brought Basscon into existence in “2013.. [and it] is the epicenter of the genres of hard dance, supporting every energy level of high octane dance music from hard house & euphoric hardstyle to rawstyle, hardcore & uptempo”, according to Insomniac. The BPM (beats per minute) can range upwards of 200+, depending on what sub-genre you’re listening to.
To go more in-depth on bass music in general, check out, The Ultimate Guide To Bass Music here and other great advice on What to Wear to a Bass Festival here.
The energy at bass festivals, specifically Basscon Wasteland elicits a streamline of headbanging, fist pumping energy that’ll last you through the night and be sure to get your body moving.
Typically edgier, neon infused designs are the vibe for clothing pieces at these festivals. Super subtle or bold- you choose! The color palette is either that of darker colors, neon and fluorescent colors, steering away from brighter pastel pieces.
As always, comfortability and practicality is key when looking for outfits to wear for 10+ hour festival days! For those that may be prepping their first ever outfits for Basscon Wasteland or need some advice on how to captivate yourself and others with your outfit, below are a few great tips on what to wear to Basscon Wasteland.

Bass Canyon is one of Excision’s curated festivals and is home to some of the biggest bass names in the industry. This is Bass Canyon’s 4th year at the gorge and is back and bigger than ever. With over 25,000 attendees, this festival is famous for bone-rattling bass with an incredible view.
Bass Canyon takes place at the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington State between August 18-20th. The Gorge Amphitheatre is rated the #1 most beautiful outdoor venue in the country, and you’ll see why as soon as you walk over that hill.
The lineup is packed with world renowned DJs and Producers. There will be a total of 3 stages! They will be called the Main Stage, Hilltop Stage and the Locals Stage. The Main Stage will feature Excision, Dion Timmer, Ganja White Knight + many more! Check out the lineup below.
The local lineup is INSANE! It is home to many PNW locals and will definitely be worth checking out.
Feel free to check out our guide on what to wear to raves that has links to all of the latest style secrets! Keep in mind, the venue does get cold at night, so make sure to pack a warm change of clothes for when the sun goes down. There will be lockers available to stash your clothes inside the venue.
Most importantly, you will be doing a LOT of walking—so make sure to wear sensible walking shoes. The “Bag Policy” at the Gorge changed for this event so make sure your bag is smaller than 12’’ x 12’’ x 6” and it has to be clear! (Hydration packs are okay but they must have a clear bladder). Fanny packs will not be allowed if they are not clear.

Bass Canyon is a camping festival, so come prepared. There are hotels about 45 minutes away but the majority of attendees will be camping. If you are camping, check out our guide to preparing for camping festivals here. There are food vendors inside the festival as well as in the campground so snacks are fine until you get inside.
]]>This year the lineup features a list of diverse headliners with DJ Snake, Porter Robinson, and Anna Lunoe. The full lineup is a solid mix of trance, house, drum and bass and bass music, with acts like Adventure Club, Above & Beyond, Fury, Rezz, Seven Lions and plenty more. You can check out the full lineup below and on the website here.
Tickets for Das Energi range from $245 for a 2-day GA to $350 for a 2-day VIP. The VIP tickets are for ages 21+ and include special merch, better viewing access at several stages, and more. You can also get GA wristbands for single days, which are $135 on the ticketing website.
The Saltair venue is right on the beach of the Great Salt lake, so one of the stages and the food trucks are on the beach itself. You'll want to plan accordingly with your footwear to be able to walk in the sand to get the full experience. I also recommend getting there before sunset since the sunsets at the Saltair are pretty unreal.
The venue itself is located about 20 minutes west of Salt Lake, right off of the I-80 freeway. You can get there quickly by taking the freeway. The parking situation at the festival tends to change each year, so anticipate that you might have to take a parking shuttle. In the past this has added as much as 30 minutes to the process of getting into the festival. Das Energi is pretty small, so once you're in the door you can get from stage to stage in just a few minutes.
If you don't live in Utah there are lots of awesome places to stay. Salt Lake is pretty easy to get around, and since the venue is a little bit out of the way I recommend staying downtown to get the most out of your travel experience while staying closer to the event. You can also stay at the airport hotels, but there might not be much around there in the way of food or other nearby things to check out.
Downtown Salt Lake has tons of great food spots and local stores. During Das Energi weekend I recommend checking out Roctaco, Pretty Bird, Eva's Bakery, and Spitz for places to eat. You can also check out Icono Clad for last minute festival gear and shopping. From downtown you can easily Uber or Lyft to Das Energi. It should be pretty affordable and it will only take maybe 20 minutes to get to the festival from that area. Plus, you won't have to deal with parking.
Das Energi is located about 30 minutes west of Downtown Salt Lake. The festival has no public transportation nearby, but there are many options for ride-share apps, taxis, or the festival shuttle. You can grab a shuttle from Downtown or the hotels at the Salt Lake City airport. Get your shuttle pass here before it's too late!
Happy Hour Long Sleeve Bodysuit
Flashbang Matrix Reflective Cutout Halter Top
Viper Vision Halter Cutout Bodysuit With Gloves
Das Energi has grown so much over the years that each year is so much different from the last. Each year the festival adds more vendors and food trucks, so the choices are always different and get more diverse each year. I always recommend you get the chicken strips from the Saltair food stand inside, since they're so popular. You can get alcoholic drinks upstairs, but check on the bag requirements before you head to the festival because the Utah liquor laws can be pretty complicated.
You can rent a locker onsite at Das Energi to store your things while you rave. Charging ports to plug your phone into are included in the locker rental (minus the cord), and you can purchase lockers online before the fest or at the venue when you get there. Rent a locker here.
Headbanger BB Rainbow Reflective Outfit
Weather at Das Energi is always pretty hot, but it has been known to rain in the past. Dress for hot weather but remember that it's in the desert, so it might get chilly at night. I've included a bunch of things I recommend wearing throughout this article, but you can get creative with your rave looks! If you don't know where to start, take this quiz to find out ur rave vibe.

]]>So let’s think about this: HARD Summer will be taking place at the LA Coliseum this year, making it one of the most anticipated festivals of the year. You can get tickets here and check out the lineup below!
And now, to the fun(ner) part: FASHION. We LOVE a good fit! But what’s in a “good fit”? Honestly, it’s all subjective! I’ve been both the one in the big t-shirt & vans AND the one in the cute two piece stomping around in Demonias like I own the place - it’s all about balance baby! At the end of the day, what really matters is that you’re wearing something that you’re comfortable and feel beautiful in.
There are two main themes at HARD Summer: edgy, and neon. If you manage to create a fit with both of these styles, you're going to slay! Edgy looks are usually pretty comfortable and can be worn for hours at a hot festival without feeling like too much. Here are some of our faves for the 2023 HARD Summer Music Festival!

I really love this neons because not only are they always in style, but they fit any vibe. You get anything from cute floral/trippy prints reminiscent of the 60’s to reflective cutout corsets that take you back to the future where Britney Spears rules our hearts once more.

Regardless of what you end up wearing to HARD Summer, make sure once again that you stay hydrated, bring sunscreen & have the time of your life! Also, don’t forget to tag us @iheartraves for a chance to be featured!
Happy HARD Summer y’all!

This year's Get Funky is just a few weeks away, but there's still time to get going! Below you'll find everything you need to know about Get Funky, from what to wear to how to get there!
The 2024 Get Funky lineup is one that you cannot miss. With headliners like Kaskade, Tchami, and Malaa, Get Funky is set to bring the summer vibes. Catch sets from supporting acts like Wax Motif, Wuki, and Chris Lorenzo with even more throughout the two-day festival weekend. Get Funky started as a one-day festival to bring in the summer, but quickly grew to a two-day event after it became so popular.
This year's Get Funky Festival will take place from June 21-22 at The Great Saltair just outside of Salt Lake City, UT. You can grab tickets here, and prices start at $125 for a two-day GA pass! Check out the 2024 Get Funky lineup below:
The Great Saltair is just a short drive outside Salt Lake's bustling downtown. Grab an Uber from downtown or take one of the shuttles offered by the festival for an easy ride. Get a shuttle pass here. You can also drive out there, but be aware that you'll need a pre-paid parking pass. You can grab a parking pass at the festival website.
The weather in Salt Lake at this time of year is warm, but not hot. Be prepared for some possible summer rain, but don't feel like you have to bring a coat! Here are some of my fav picks for Get Funky this year:

Bonnaroo takes place every summer on a farm in Tennessee (check out our guide here for everything you need to know about going to the festival). With the hot weather and the camping, you'll really want to go for comfortable rave wear that won't make you sweat any more than you already are! There are tons of music genres at Bonnaroo which means you can get creative with your looks and really go for whatever vibe you want, but here are some top picks for you:
There is no shortage of hippie vibes at Bonnaroo. Sets from headliners like The Chicks and Stevie Nicks will be the perfect place to live out your Woodstock dreams in these fits that look straight out of a 1960s Polaroid.

You can't go wrong with an all black look. These pieces are classics that you can incorporate into any outfit for a killer festival look every time:
]]>Bonnaroo can be incredibly fun or be the complete opposite if you come unprepared! The event is just around the corner so I thought I’d provide tips and tricks that you’ll need to plan a successful and stress-free experience at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.
The festival’s website provides plenty of information on all the different ticket types available. If it’s your first time going, it’s worth reading through it to understand what’s included in each ticket to find the one that’s right for you. There are quite a few ticket options that determine the experience you'll have. You can do anything from GA to an ultra-VIP experience that includes a nicer camping area, golf cart transportation to each stage, unlimited food and drink and special viewing at each stage.
Always remember, festival admission tickets do not include camping passes, so you’ll need to buy them separately. You can also choose tiered camping passes based on the experience you want to have. Tickets and camping passes range from affordable prices to higher prices for a more luxury experience, but give a lot of variety to pick from. You can get both camping and festival passes here.
Driving is the most popular travel option for Bonnaroovians. Most people drive into the festival, either by car, RV, or uHaul… But if driving isn’t your thing, rest assured there are also shuttle routes departing from different places to get you to the festival grounds. No matter which mode of transport you go for, you need to pre-book your pass with your festival ticket. Make sure you do so in advance before they sell out!
The drive to Manchester is about an hour outside of Nashville or about three and a half hours northwest of Atlanta. Both airports are easily accessible from most US cities and offer lots of rental car options.
When you’re making your travel plans, keep in mind that the sooner you arrive the closer to the festival entrance you’ll be! The campgrounds fill from front to back so as long as you plan your trip accordingly you won’t get stuck in one of the furthest campsites. Anticipate long lines as you get closer to the festival, so add at least an hour to your travel time for the time you'll spend waiting in line.
Sunshine isn’t always in the forecast, it’s not uncommon for it to rain and for temperatures to drop. And when it rains at Bonnaroo it pours, so the festival grounds can get really muddy. Bring what you need to stay dry and warm if the weather turns:
On the other hand, it can also get very hot and sunny which requires a whole other list of essentials. Whatever you do, before you start packing check the weather forecast to ensure you have everything you need to enjoy your time at the festival. Here are a few necessities you should think about packing:
Depending on which area you’re assigned to at the campgrounds, you might end up having to walk quite a distance to get to the thick of the action in Centeroo. Blisters can easily ruin your entire festival weekend so bring the right footwear and socks. Or if you can’t forego your platforms, make sure you have a few dollars to spare each day to catch a pedicab from the campgrounds to Centeroo, and back!

When it doesn’t rain at Bonnaroo a giant cloud of dust will start to surface as soon as the masses of people start trampling all over the festival grounds. Make sure you bring a bandana or face mask to avoid ingesting heaps of dust.
Bonnaroo showers are notoriously dirty and the queues can take forever! Arm yourself with some baby wipes to combat any sand, mud or sweat you encounter and need to wipe off.
The campgrounds are massive so finding your tent can be tricky, particularly late at night when it’s dark and you’re tired. Pack a flashlight to make it easier to find your way back! It will definitely come in handy when you’re walking through the campgrounds late at night and even in some parts of the festival.
The festival is the size of a small town, over 100,000 people attend each year so it’s really easy to lose your friends in the crowd. Have a totem, flag or floatie that you can spot from a distance and you’ll never lose your group again! When you’re not using it in the crowd you can hang it at your campsite so you’ve got something to look out for when you’re walking back to your tent.
Be mindful of what you pack, check Bonnaroo’s official list of prohibited items before you load up your vehicle to prepare for a seamless car check on arrival. Car checks are random but you never know if you’ll end up having your vehicle searched so always respect the rules and be prepared.
Ensure that everyone in your group that wants to camp together gets in line together, this will guarantee you get to set up next to one another. Bonnaroo crew members won’t wait on your group and definitely won’t save spots for anyone on the campgrounds.
I hope these tips get you well on your way to planning the most incredible weekend at Bonnaroo! Need some inspo for your ‘fits? New York City’s Governor's Ball is where music meets the metro’s melting pot of food. From trendy food trucks to local favorites, you can taste dishes from all around the world without ever leaving the festival grounds. Bagels, dumplings, you name it—they’ve got it all! 🍜🍩
Over in the city, you've got some of the best food in the world to pick from. Head to Katz' Deli for a famous pastrami on rye before making your way into the fest, or get some late-night eats down in Chinatown on your way to the afters.

A festival in NOLA? Say no more! The New Orleans Jazz Festival is as much about the food as it is about jazz. Creole, Cajun, and everything in between—eating here is like a music-accompanied tour through New Orleans’ culinary history. Don’t forget to grab a beignet and a bag of crawfish boil! 🎷🍤
Local spots like Dat Dawg can't be missed, and are usually staples at any local NOLA festival.

Wait, what? Yep. It's no mistake that I've included Burning Man on this list. While it's not technically a festival, Burning Man is an event where you can find some incredible food, and it's all free.
Burning Man is all about community and self-expression, and this extends to the food as well. Since it's a gifting society, you'll find homemade, experimental foods that you wouldn't see anywhere else. It’s a unique culinary adventure that mirrors the eccentricity of the event itself. 🌌🥘
Burners from around the world spend their time at Burning Man bringing their talents to the playa. And for the chefs of the world, that often means that they bring their kitchen skills straight to you. Check out Midnight Poutine for freshly made fries drenched in imported Canadian cheese curds and gravy, or head over to Miso Horny for a steaming cup of miso soup right before sunrise. There are thousands of food activations at Burning Man, so grab the book and take yourself on a food tour or keep your nose open to find a bite to eat on your adventures.
San Francisco’s chill vibes are perfectly complemented by Outsidelands’ food offerings. From gourmet food and wine pairings to the best of local craft beers, it’s a festival where you can truly indulge your sophisticated side. Fancy a wine flight with your indie tunes? 🍷🎸
San Francisco is somewhat of a food and wine capital in the US, so you can bet the food at the festival will reflect that. After the fest, head over to Chinatown for some late-night noodles and dumplings.
San Diego’s CRSSD Festival rounds out our list with its focus on techno and house music and its hip, trendy food scene. Think craft beer, fresh oysters, and artisan coffee. It's the perfect place to enjoy the sunset with a craft cocktail in hand, grooving to the deep beats. 🌅🍹
]]>If you're staying in Las Vegas the festival isn't quite centrally located. The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is about 18-20 miles off of the Las Vegas strip depending on where you're coming from. With traffic, that ride can easily go from 20 minutes to several hours, so you'll want to read on for our advice on how to get to EDC Las Vegas!
Rainbow Reflective Daisy Outfit
Flying:
Flying into Vegas is really easy, especially if you're staying on or near the Strip area or Downtown. Most airlines have pretty affordable flights into Vegas because it's a popular destination, and you can fly direct from most places in the United States.
The airport is conveniently located right off of the Strip, making it really easy to get to your hotel from an Uber. Still, Uber in Vegas can get pricey, so expect to pay at least $20 depending on where you're staying, likely more. Some hotels also offer shuttles, so look into that if you want to save on Uber to and from the airport.
Driving:
With no traffic, Vegas is about a four hour drive from the Los Angeles area. Keep in mind that I said no traffic though, because on a normal weekend that can go up to five or even six hours with how many people regularly go to Vegas from LA for the weekend. During EDC expect traffic to get worse, so plan ahead and leave early if you think you'll need to.
You can get to Vegas quickly from other cities like Salt Lake and Denver via I-15 which cuts directly through Las Vegas. It's about a six hour drive from Salt Lake and 11 hours from Denver. It's certainly more than Los Angeles, but you're unlikely to hit traffic coming from that direction.
EDC encourages its attendees to rideshare to the festival as much as possible. Hit up local rave groups on Facebook to find a ride to Vegas from your area—you might just find a new rave fam!
Shuttles:
EDC offers shuttles to and from the Speedway to many of the hotels on the Las Vegas Strip. Look for either your hotel or a hotel nearby to get the most direct access to the festival every day. You can get a shuttle pass on the EDC website here, which includes expedited security entry before you get to the festival to make things go a bit faster at the Speedway.
The shuttles can get pretty busy if you go at the same times as most of the crowds, so plan ahead if you want to skip the lines. I've never experienced the shuttles for myself, but I've heard horror stories about getting stuck in line for hours after the festival ends at sunrise. As much fun as it would be to stay until the end of the event, I'm also someone that would happily leave a little bit early to beat the crowds.
Rideshares and Taxis:
Uber and Lyft are a great option if you want something a bit more streamlined than the shuttle experience. While the shuttles are great, the luxury of a rideshare means that you don't have to stand in line to get on a shuttle on your way to and from the festival. However, these lines can get pretty lengthy as well and prices can skyrocket if you don't time your departures correctly.
Las Vegas also has tons of taxis available, and with the arrival of Uber several years ago taxis have had to get competitive with their prices. You might have a hard time finding a taxi at the Speedway to get back to the festival, but they can be a secret hack to saving some money on your way there each night.
Viper Vision Halter Cutout Bodysuit Outfit
Driving:
The drive to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway is about 20-30 minutes from the Las Vegas Strip. This is a great option if you have a sober driver, though traffic can get pretty congested depending on when you're driving to or from the festival. General parking at EDC is free, though you can purchase premiere parking passes to get in and out of the lots a little bit easier.
Keep in mind that there are restrictions to parking. The festival doesn't allow tailgating and drinking alcohol in the parking lot is prohibited, as well as sleeping in your car or leaving your car at the festival once it ends.

Forget something vital for EDC? savormeditation has you covered once again with the annual Lux Rave pop up shop at the Luxor hotel. The store offers 10,000 square feet of last minute rave shopping starting May 15 until May 19. You can also stop by and pick up flow toys and gloving gear from our partner store, Emazing Lights, and other clothing from INTO THE AM. RSVP here.
There is no better way to get in the trippy spirit before EDC than at Omega Mart. The brand new Meow Wolf exhibit opened earlier this year at Area 15 just off the Las Vegas Strip. The psychedelic art installation takes you through a fever dream of a grocery store concept before you're sucked into an alternate reality. Set aside a night to check out this installment and the other activities at Area 15 before the festival begins.
Few things in Vegas are as famous as the nightlife. Even outside of EDC week, the club scene in Vegas has a little something for everyone. There's always the top clubs, like XS and Encore Beach Club, as well as Omnia, Hakkasan and the two newest clubs at the all new Resorts World Las Vegas, Zouk nightclub and Ayu day club.
Downtown Las Vegas may not have the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas Strip, but it does have local favorites like a killer bar scene, the Downtown Arts District, and some of the original Las Vegas landmarks we all know and love. The area is also home to Life Is Beautiful festival, which takes place each September.
Las Vegas is extremely hot in the summer, so many events that usually take place around then are moved to the spring and fall. Las Vegas Pride takes place in October, and although the bulk of the event is during the second weekend of October, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate Pride Month outside of the official festival. Catch a drag brunch on the strip or visit one of the many gay bars around the city.

The Coachella set times don't usually come out until a couple of days before the festival. We're about a week out right now and they're still not out, but that is to be expected with any major festival—especially with the last minute lineup changes we saw this year. Use the Coachella app to easily plan your experience and set reminders for your favorite artists. You can add the artists you want to see before the schedule comes out, and then change things as you need to once it's been released. There are tons of other features in the app as well, but this one is the most useful for planning ahead.
2. Bring the necessities.
Everyone has a different opinion on what the necessities are when you go to Coachella, and what you need might change day to day. Here are a few things I always make sure to have in my bag at any festival, whether it's my hotel bag or the actual bag I take into the event every day:
3. Walk more in the days leading up to the festival.
I'm not telling you to exercise more in order to look your best at Coachella (though be my guest if you want to), but I am warning you to go on a walk or two before Coachella to give your feet a chance to get used to walking a lot. This is especially true if you work a desk job or just generally don't spend a lot of time standing up. Your feet will thank you later, and if you have a treadmill at home this is an excellent way to break in your Coachella shoes without getting them dirty.
4. Eat nourishing food in the days leading up to the festival.
Again, this is by no means weight loss advice. However, eating nourishing food in the days leading up to the festival will give you more energy and vitality once you're there. If you can continue eating pretty healthy while you're there—which is definitely possible since the food options at Coachella are pretty diverse—you're going to feel even better.
Lace Flowerfields Dress Outfit
5. Have meetups planned ahead.
Phone service at major festivals can be pretty bad, especially once all of the crowds are there. Plan meetups ahead of time or have a plan of action if you get separated from your group. Sometimes it's fun to go solo when you get separated, but not everyone feels comfortable with that. Have a plan figured out just in case.

6. Don't worry about not getting into parties.
A lot of people will try to tell you that Coachella is all about the parties, or that Weekend 1 is the only good weekend to attend. My first Coachella experience was during Weekend 2 and I didn't go to any parties and had a great time regardless. You're going to have a great time no matter what you do, just don't get caught up in the FOMO because someone on Instagram looks like they're having a better time.
7. Listen to new artists before the festival.
Part of the fun of Coachella is getting to see new artists and appreciate music you might not have checked out otherwise. Take some time over the next week or so to check out the artists on the lineup that you haven't heard before—you might just find your new favorite!
Lace Flowerfields Marabou Oufit
8. Clean your space so you have something to come home to.
I do this before any trip, but taking the time to clean your home as best as possible will make your return that much better. It's always nice to come home to a clean space—so at least make your bed and hide your dirty laundry.
9. Know what kinds of services are available to you at the festival.
There are tons of services onsite at Coachella that are only there to make your experience as easy and fun as possible. A free shuttle service in the camping area, for example, will take you to a nearby grocery store for supplies if you need them.
Other services like the medical facility are there to keep you safe and healthy no matter what, so don't be afraid to stop in for a band aid, advil, or even mental health services.
Coachella offers a special care and support service called Every One, which is there to offer mental health and support services for attendees throughout the event. There are trained Every One team members all over the festival, and even a tent for you to retreat to if you need some quiet or mental health support. These services are available to anyone that needs them (for free) and offer mental health and harassment support.
10. Don't forget to take care of yourself while you're there.
No one is saying you can't go hard at Coachella, but you should take care of yourself while you're there. Take some time to stretch your body—maybe do some yoga in the mornings, drink plenty of water throughout the day, and get as much sleep as you can.
11. Bring plenty of snacks.
Whether you're camping or staying in a hotel/Airbnb, you're not going to want to go get snacks in between while you're at the festival throughout the weekend. Stop and get some snacks on your way to the desert to have at your campsite or in your hotel room—even if it's just some drinks.
12. Plan extra time for travel.
Traffic at Coachella is no joke. Plan extra time for travel to and from the festival if you're staying in a hotel/Airbnb and even more extra time if you're in an uber or taking your own car. The shuttle service is a good way to get a pretty solid estimate on how long it will take to get there because it can bypass a lot of the individual traffic around the polo field, but even then you should expect it to take longer than any maps estimate will give you.
13. Overestimate your budget.
The one piece of advice I have for any trip is to overestimate how much you'll spend when you're there. Budget for drinks, impulse merch purchases, uber rides you don't expect to take, or other emergencies that may pop up. A lot of hotels will charge a security deposit during festivals, so it's a good idea to have a card that can cover that just in case.
14. Bring cash just in case.
Most festivals—especially Coachella—are pretty cashless these days. I can't think of too many scenarios where you'll absolutely need cash to get by, but it's always good to have just in case.

Getting to Coachella is tough. If you've managed to snag tickets already you were probably an overachiever in high school, but if not there is still hope for you. Aside from the tickets, there is a lot more to figure out and plan, but we've got you. Here is your Complete Coachella Planning Guide for 2022.
Coachella was famously one of the first festivals to do two weekends in a row with the same lineup. The two weekend-event lets more people attend the festival, and creates a different vibe for each weekend. The lineup is the same on both weekends, so you can go to either one and have more or less the same experience, but many people agree that Weekend 1 is best for celebrity sightings, special guest appearances and generally newsworthy surprises.
Tickets to Coachella tend to sell out almost instantly. Weekend 1 usually sells out faster than Weekend 2, so even now there might be some tickets left for the second weekend if you're thinking about taking the plunge. Once individual tickets are sold out there are usually other options for getting tickets directly from the Coachella website (which is obviously the most trustworthy way to get tickets). I recommend checking out the hotel + ticket package options if you have a group of 2 or more interested in going.
The pass buying guide on the Coachella website will give you all of the information you need on how to get tickets.
Once you get tickets you'll need to secure a shuttle or camping pass separately. I recommend making your decision on where you're going to stay quickly, since hotels fill up fast and camping tends to sell out almost as quickly as the tickets themselves.

Let’s talk logistics. Although Coachella is a different beast than most festivals, you can take your existing festival expertise and apply it to how you prepare for Coachella as you find hotels or AirBNBs, plan your camping experience, or figure out the shuttle system. Perhaps there’s someone in your group that already has this all covered (lucky you!) but in case you don’t, here is what I would focus on first:
Hotels vs. Camping vs. Airbnb vs. RV
Camping: There are MANY camping options at Coachella, including but not limited to car camping (not to be confused with preferred car camping, which puts your car closer to the venue entrance), tent camping and for an astronomical price, including a ticket to Mars (kidding but maybe in the future that’ll be a thing!) – GLAMPING.
The camping options tend to sell out faster than the blink of an eye, so these options may not be available if you're planning a last minute YOLO trip. Bringing us to your next options or, maybe your first, (depending on the type of person you are) we have: off-site camping (which includes campgrounds vetted by Coachella) and hotels that double as shuttle stops.
Staying in a hotel is a great way to do Coachella, but keep in mind that the Palm Springs/Indio area is quite large, so you'll want to plan ahead on how you'll be getting to and from the festival. This also applies to AirBNB stays, which might even be a little more complicated since most of the shuttles go to and from hotels. An AirBNB is certainly a great option, and I would recommend finding the closest hotel shuttle stop to your AirBNB if walking to a shuttle stop is an option.
There are three main areas you'll have to choose from when picking a Coachella hotel or AirBNB since the Coachella valley is pretty big. You can stay in Palm Springs, the iconic town with lots of luxury hotel and resort options, and a lot of things to do outside of the festival. There are several hotels with shuttle stops in Palm Springs.
Your next option is to stay in the Palm Desert/Indian Wells/Indio area, which is closer to the festival but doesn't offer much in the way of local attractions. This is a great option if you're only planning on going to and from Coachella, and the hotels may be a bit more affordable (though keep in mind all hotels will have inflated prices during this time).
Finally your third option is to stay a little bit off the beaten path in Desert Hot Springs, a town just on the other side of Interstate 10 from Palm Springs and probably the furthest from the festival. There are several luxury resorts and affordable hotels in this area, so it might be a good option for last minute trips.
This is by no means an exhaustive list on what to pack for Coachella, but here is a link to what is and isn't allowed at the festival on the Coachella website, as well as some details on what to expect from the weather and outfit inspiration. I always recommend packing extra clothes to any festival, including some more comfortable options.
Weather in the Palm Desert.
Indio, California is the literal desert SO, although you are in sunny, beautiful, amazing California, you WILL definitely experience some pretty significant temperature drops at night. The Palm Desert is pretty hot in the day, so make sure to pack sunscreen, sunglasses and a cute festival hat. At night the temperatures can drop down to the mid to low 50’s, so you’ll definitely want to bring some layering options and blankets if you're camping. Check out our selection of outerwear to help put together an epic yet functional outfit!
This is the thing that so many people (I would definitely not exclude myself) tend to obsess/dream/freak out/have nightmares about - and with good reason. I’m not going to lie and say that fashion isn’t a big deal at Coachella because it’s basically like the MET Gala of the music scene.
I truly believe that fashion is just an extension of who you are and should be used as a form of self-expression rather than this self-imposed pressure to be iconic at Coachella. Although a lot of people do show out for other festivals like EDC, Burning Man & Electric Forest, there is just something so different about the fashion at Coachella that is so unique and inspiring. Check out our guide on What to Wear To Coachella for more fashion inspo!

Coachella is pretty damn big on keeping everything very sustainable and eco-friendly, so much so that they partnered with a company called Global Inheritance to ensure that festivalgoers leave no trace and create a conscious experience for all. Read more about what it means to leave no trace here.
Getting around the Palm Desert:
Once you’re in the Palm Desert, there is definitely no shortage of ways of getting around. It’s worth it to peruse their “Getting Here” section of their website where they outline pretty much everything you need to know regarding travel. Here are some of the common travel options:
The Coachella site provides a small list of airports, the first of which is the Palm Springs Airport. This airport is by far the closest (25 miles from the festival), with LAX being a close second, but you can also fly into Orange County, Burbank or San Diego but that’s quite the hike!
Although extremely convenient, flying into the Palm Springs airport may not be the most budget friendly, so make sure to do your research and hop on those deals quickly! If you do fly into any of the Los Angeles airports, expect to drive about 2 hours east on Interstate 10 to get to the Palm Desert. There are shuttle options through the festival, but you can also rent a car.
Or, you could try out a little thing called Carpoolchella: a reward system set up to incentivize Coachella attendees to minimize their carbon footprint by driving to Coachella together! Those who have done so in the past have had their entire passes upgraded to VIP FOR LIFE. No joke! It’s definitely worth looking into!
A few extra things to keep in mind to make the most out of your weekend:
There are tons of parties to check out throughout Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley during the festival weekend. While some are more exclusive than others, parties like Day Club Palm Springs only require you to buy a ticket! Day Club is a great spot to check out if you're staying in the Palm Springs area and want to relax by the pool and enjoy a party before heading to the festival. Headliners range yearly, but you can expect a stacked lineup with artists that may or may not be on the Coachella festival lineup!
Lace Flowerfields Beaded Outfit
A Club Called Rhonda is another must-do party if you can check out any parties in the valley during Coachella weekend. Rhonda parties in LA are always a great time, and the annual desert event during Coachella weekend is a refreshing oasis away from the festival's hustle.
Yet another party that you have to check out if you're hitting the party circuit, Neon Carnival is one of the weekend's biggest events. With tons of installments to check out, music events, and a more rave-y vibe, Neon Carnival is your little sample of EDC at Coachella.

Where else do you go when you're at the height of the heat in the middle of the day? The Yuma Tent, of course. The Yuma Tent is your little dark, air-conditioned oasis in the heat of the Coachella desert. It's the perfect place to escape the heat and enjoy some of the best techno the Coachella lineup offers. Don't forget to make a stop here throughout the weekend.

Of all of the stages at Coachella, one stands out with the most unique vibes. The Do-Lab is a pop-up stage at the back of the festival grounds that always has a party going on. Enjoy the good vibes, the misting machines, and the colorful tent as you bounce to house music and enjoy one of the most laidback parts of Coachella.
Lace Flowerfields Marabou Outfit
Another air-conditioned paradise, the Antarctic tent is a fun spot to check out as you explore the festival throughout the weekend. Usually tucked behind the food area next to the Coachella stage, this is a great spot to stop in as you investigate all the festival has to offer!
One of the things you absolutely can't miss at Coachella is the food. Some of California's best food spots bring their menus to the festival to make the weekend an ultimate experience for any foodie. Sure festival food might be expensive, but if you're going to treat yourself, treat yourself to fresh sushi, nutritious bowls, and artisan drinks!
Rolita Couture X iHR Super Wonky Whimsical Outfit
Part of what makes Coachella so memorable is its art installments. The famous installments are a festival season staple, like the balloon arch that lights up at night or the giant rainbow walkway that stands tall in the desert. You can't miss the art, but take some time to walk around and check it out throughout the weekend—you won't be disappointed!
If you're into ferris wheels, check out the famous Coachella ferris wheel to get a bird's eye view of everything at the festival. We recommend checking it out both day and night to get a sense of the different vibes as the festival changes throughout the day. The line can be long, so grab a lemonade or a snack on your way and enjoy the good vibes as you sit back and relax and see the view!
Coachella is known for its brand partnerships, and if you keep an eye out you can get a lot of freebies throughout the weekend. American Express holders can usually expect some kind of perk or even a pop-up event to check out inside the festival itself, or keep an eye out for things like hair styling stations or makeup events inside the festival grounds. Different brands will bring different pop-ups every year, so keep your eyes peeled for what's to come this year!

Camping festivals can be really fun. Going on a road trip with your friends, setting up camp next to people that could likely become your new rave fam, and not having to worry about getting to and from your hotel for an entire weekend is something you just can't beat. But camping is hard, especially if you're not a veteran camper outside of the festival scene. After seven years of going to Burning Man—the week-long camping festival in the middle of a dry lake bed in Nevada—I've learned a secret or two about getting the most out of the experience. Here are my ten festival camping tips from a veteran burner:
You would be surprised how powerful the wind can be. Staking your tent down is an easy step you can take to avoid coming back to camp at the end of the night only to find that your tent is gone. Odds are low that someone stole it, but high that it could have blown away. This happened to a friend of mine who brought a large dome tent to Coachella and forgot to stake it down. Don't be like him!
You might not have access to a shower while you're at a camping festival. Even if it's just for a few days, all of that dancing and sweating will leave you feeling pretty gross after just a day. Freshen up with baby wipes in between showers to at least get the dirt and sweat off of you. Just don't drop them in the port-a-potties!
Burning man is a Leave No Trace festival, and while not every festival has adopted that same principal, it's a good idea to be mindful of how much waste you'll create while camping at a festival. Just in case you're stuck with a car full of trash bags on your way out, remove any excess packaging from things you're bringing with you before your arrival.
One of the easiest ways to pack a bunch of stuff without wasting space is to avoid using a suitcase and use a storage bin instead. For a three-day camping festival you'll probably be able to fit most of your things in a single bin, which can then stack easily in your car for easy packing. Plus, you don't have to worry about getting your suitcase dirty.
Electric Ecstasy Marabou Outfit
I've had years at Burning Man where I've brought too much food, and I've had years where I didn't bring enough food to last the week. Think realistically about how much you eat before you go grocery shopping for a camping festival, and maybe assume you'll eat a little bit less during the hustle of the weekend. Or, if there are food options available at the festival itself, maybe just stick to some snacks and avoid prepping meals altogether.
Like...all kinds of lights. Some camping festivals can get pretty dark in the camping area. Dirtybird Campout, for example, doesn't always light the camping area after it gets dark. Bring a flashlight to keep in your bag, or a headlamp for a hands-free light option (or both). I also like to wrap my tent in some battery powered LED wire (you can get it on Amazon) so I can easily spot my tent from far away at night.
Frolicking Fantasy Floral Sequin Outfit
I like to bring 3 pairs of socks per day just in case. You'll definitely want to switch your day socks off as you head into the night time, but I like to have an extra pair of clean socks for bed time just in case it gets cold.
Your tent is good for sleeping, but during the day you'll want a shade structure to chill in once it gets too hot to sit in your tent.
You're going to thank yourself if you bring camping chairs. Camping festivals are a 24-hour experience, so having a place to sit and chill when you're not dancing or exploring the festival is a must. You can even bring blow up furniture to save space in your car.
Shroomy Shimmer Marabou Outfit
It's easy to remember the things you're excited to use—like your new savormeditation outfits or your body glitter—but don't forget the necessities. Double check before you leave that you have any necessary tools to set up and maintain your camp. This can include things like a rubber mallet for your tent stakes (and your tent stakes), Duct Tape just in case, extra batteries, and an air mattress pump.
